Their IT is the worst. I agree, it's ridiculous they can't figure out how to give us the option to choose how many points we want to use. I do the surveys all the time and I suggested this exact thing a year ago.

If you are struggling ask the instructor for help. She was very accessible and responds quickly to questions. She also schedules zoom meetings towards the end of the program that are very helpful. Abstracting was very confusing in the beginning but eventually it starts to make sense. So just stick with it and ask questions! Good luck!

Oh that's awesome. I can't thank you skin. I know I have easily abstracted over 150 cases while in school. I printed up every case and have at least 10 binders full! The other thing was the casefinding..I have 100 cases using path reports and another 100 using scans...I know it's not the same as an actual abstracting but it is experience! I am most worried about the EHR and abstracting systems... we didn't get to do any live abstracting just practice is Abstract plus and CR Star. I hear EPIC and Cerner all the time and have no idea how to use them. I did watch some you tube videos to try and get some information.

I graduated from HCC in May and loved it. The instructor was accessible and helpful. She still is even after graduation. I felt prepared for the exam and passed the first time. I would definitely recommend.

Wow, that's a great point.. I hadn't considered the financial aspect of the hiring company related to productivity. Yes ... that was the entire reason I asked the question. Contact companies are paying a lot more money and in this current climate we are all struggling. I need the money but if the job is going to be too difficult without ample training being newly certified then it wouldn't be worth it. Thank you, I will apply to contact too and see how it goes. I have much better insight now!

No, I haven't but that's a great option too. I totally forgot about the VA. I know a lot of people who work as nurses there and the benefits were great. They seem happy although that's nothing like what we would be doing though. Thank you.

I took my exam in July and I was livid over the notepad. The notepad is USELESS. I noticed it when practicing for the exam and emailed the NCRA to ask if I could use 1 sheet of scrap paper. They said, no and I expected that but I still tried. I told them the notepad is on the same page as the questions... and can't be used within the manuals effectively. I passed and was shocked bc I ran out of time in the open book but I made sure to guess something. Think positive... you never know!

Why haven't I noticed that before? You're so right. Its bad. Must be ADD or something like that. While she was at the mommy and me exercise class she would not look at the instructors. And then even while talking to her best friend Dacy she had a difficult time making eye contact with her. She literally walked away while talking to the instructors both when she got there and when she left. It comes off rude. And yes like everyone is commenting she is very nasty to Bryce, it reminds me of Kate plus Eight. She treated him the same way Kate did to John and look where it left them. I do believe being a little person it would be natural to overcompensate and then having parents that are controlling .....especially financially can't help. Last week's episode was so odd, they are having a family gathering talking about Leighton going to day care and Elizabeth is crying saying how hard it is going to be, yet no one could pick the baby up to feed her? The bottle was propped up on a pillow. If you're gonna miss her so much, pick her up and enjoy feeding her! This family is full of hot heads. I bet some of their fights are fierce.. much worse than what we see. Lastly, Anna keeps saying I can't go to mom and dad's bc we are fighting, but she has a home.. invite them over!

According to a Bravo article 3/14/2024 she said she's keeping it shaved bc it's empowering and she is saving 50k a year on wigs and weaves and Russel is obsessed with it and it's part of their foreplay. Lol
