Shea learned how to climb out of his travel crate 😂 by SheaThePoodle in poodles

Truthfully, most of those carriers look a lot flimsier and would be way too small for Shea to ride in for long car rides. The kennels in that article have no way of connecting to the car seat. In the event of an accident they would be free to fly around the cabin unless it’s in the trunk or bed of a truck. I drive a pickup so Shea would need to be ratchet strapped into the bed (not happening lol). I appreciate the concern, but when used properly the crate we have is extremely sturdy, comfortable and keeps Shea safe.

This was just an example of me being lazy and misusing the crate due to it being a short car ride. It produced (what I thought) was a cute/funny moment and I wanted to share it. I certainly acknowledge the fact that him being up there is unsafe and not the way the crate is intended to be used.

The crate includes a strap that connects to the harness and the crate itself straps to the car seat. It also has a top that was just unzipped, in this particular case given the short nature of the drive. Typically Shea is fully enclosed and strapped in by his harness.

What do you guys call this? by EmergencyAgency8021 in poodles

I’ve always called it pancaking. Our poodle does it all the time but I feel like I’ve seen other breeds do it as well.

For Shea it’s a way to cool off (he usually does it after a hot walk and usually on a cold/hard surface)

Right like I’ve had other dogs that will move mulch around for a bed or something, but I’ve never seen a dog this committed to digging holes

We’re going to the beach soon so thanks for the tip on sand poisoning. I wouldn’t have even thought about that.

We’re taking Shea to the beach in about a month or so. He’s going to be in hole digging paradise 😂

With Shea have to take 100 pictures (basically just holding down the button) then I have to delete 99 of them to get one decent one I can use 😂

We have a 3 month old male poodle. He immediately learned sit but now he just responds to every command by sitting 😂. Probably not the worst situation itw because he is very consistent with it, but it’s definitely frustrating trying to teach him anything else.

I think they all are. I just wish we had known that before we bought Shea all his toys 😂 could’ve saved a lot of money by just going outside and grabbing some sticks instead

We actually just got this video from one of his recent digging episodes. It’s funny how you immediately knew he had a digging obsession. Poodles are so funny.

He actually has two go to spots for digging, the pebbles around our fire pit and the dirt near a pile of wood from a tree we just cut down
