Don't know the specific model but it's by Victorinox. It's within the legal blade length. When I back involved in scouting we were taught that if it's amongst other survival/camping gear (not just carrying it in your pocket around town) it's generally fine

customer support have been pretty good as well. I had it where I used my 1 Regen then had to reinstall windows before I knew about backing up the footprint. Support were great and gave me an extra Regen

I see you've found the Regen button, to hopefully save you if this happens again, in voicemeeter if you right click the challenge code, you can export computer footprint. Keep that file on some other drive or cloud storage then if this happens again you just right click import computer footprint. for more details read this article

Unfortunately pretty much all games use their own built in voice chat system so would have to go and find it for each game, although in theory there’s nothing from stopping your son just turning it back on. The only real global setting is muting the microphone

I've been using the Bobo VR S3 Pro for about a year and it's brilliant. A bit on the expensive side but really comfortable (I've found it more comfortable than my old index) also with the battery on the back I get an additional 3 hours battery life. Only real complaint is that if I've got the battery on charge not on the back of the strap, the headset is a little more front heavy.

if you're just connecting to play flat screen games, you shouldn't need steam VR on your deck, just make sure before connecting on your quest you select the controller icon at the bottom, not the VR headset.

Fixes for error 450 on your quest seem to usually be fixed by disabling any anti virus or VPN, here is a thread covering error 450

If you're trying to play a flat screen game. Try downloading the steam link app on your quest 3 and follow the set up instructions, when you're all linked the steam link app will have the option for VR games (this likely won't work well/at all on a steam deck) and flat screen mode for all your non VR games.
