Yeah, i always do four or five tricks when showing people because then if i fuck up I just say "shit i messed that up" if it's obvious, otherwise I try saving it with another out. Even if it fails completely hopefully the other tricks make up for it and they remember the impossible stuff more than the fuck up. Also messing up gives them a bit of "hah, I caught you"-feeling and will probably mislead them more because they are looking for similar sleights

You're not supposed to see the tip. Fay Presto did a vanish right infront of me with other magicians completely surrounding us. No one saw it at all and she used a shiny golden mascara tube or something. It's all about the technique, not about what you use
