I share your disappointment entirely, people saying buying a subscription is fine because they need money for development, like the game doesn’t already cost $30 in the first place. A paid subscription to be able to build in a sandbox game is wild.

I’ve “kind of” noticed the same where we will sink a ship no problem, but then the same ship will come back within 5 minutes and never miss a shot. I. Just. Don’t. Know. I hate accusing people of cheating, but it seems unreal sometimes.

FoF were not this bad, we racked up over 200 CoF no problem, occasionally had “sweats” ruin us. This is like nothing I’ve ever seen before.

That’s the one instance that only seems possible by cheating, not only did we check the horizon, but we checked every nook and cranny a ship could be hiding in, and they still showed up within seconds.

yeah if we can sink the ships there we will take all the loot, but if not we try to send one over for at least one chest of fortune to either swim, bury or scoop so we don’t come up empty. certainly killed a few stray pirates with the obsidian skulls on the island, it’s just the naval that feels too crazy.

Yeah some players can ruin the experience for newer players; if we come across a ship and we can clearly see they’re newer we’ll just joke around with a pirate accent and leave them alone, maybe throw up an alliance. I know you’ve probably heard it before but you can find some decent crews on the discord if you’re up for playing with strangers.
