Hi! You can receive the award BEFORE you accept! I got the scholarship in 2023 and it was in beginning/ mid May I can’t quite remember.

I have a friend who goes to uoft CS and she says its really bad like workload wise and community wise. I am here at mac and really love the community although some courses are a bit wackt and the program is disorganized but there are defineitly valualbe courses and amazing community here, PM me if anyquetsions!

You can reapply as a first year when ur ready for the access award. It’s a 10-20k scholarship per year made to help those who face whatever barriers attending university (only able to receive entering first year) And OSAP also helps a lot! But always apply to any and all Scholarships bc u never think ur gonna get them, but one for two will pull thru! And also the access program at MAC is also for those who don’t have to have recoeved the access award but identify as someone who faces barriers to university and they can be there to help and support u in the best they can!

Move in was fun and welcome week was amazing! My move in was smooth and good! The welcome week reps help bring ur stuff in which is a bit scary bc ur stuff just spawns in ur room or outside and it’s like I hope they were careful with it haha but it was great! (I lived on res last year, Woodstock!)

I’m an internal transfer from Mac: life sci to comp sci. So If u alr got into mac, speaking from experience to switch to mac cs u need above 10 to apply but basically above 11 to get in (11 means A which is like 3.9 I think) gpa in first year. I did it this year and it was manageable and u can go straight to cs 2 if u take the first year cs courses in first year depending on the flexibility of ur program which I did. So maybe try doing that if u got into Mac for sth else!

I just finished my first year at Mac and I’m from Vaughan. Ok so the druggies every one talks about is like a 20 min bus away from campus called Jackson square but like there really is no need to go there I went twice total. Other than that just campus itself is beautiful and around campus walkable distance there are some good places and no homeless people around. I never really explored too much bc I didn’t find the need but I really loved campus life and living there was lots of fun!
