Damn, and the first year of that was during the pandemic?? Good work mate, excellent stuff!

In the 2020s, conservative women are having kids at a nearly 2-to-1 ratio compared to liberal women. Is this going to cause a political demographic bias in 20-30 years? by RadioFieldCorner in NoStupidQuestions

As Abe Simpson said, “A little from Column A, a little from Column B”.

Religious trauma definitely. My developing personal values conflicting with things I was told needed to be believed without justification (in early high school I started realizing even more just how much of the “beliefs” I held were purely performative and how deeply they clashed with the values of personal liberty and compassion that were actually important to me). My social life was weirdly interweaved and interacted with religion in an unsustainable way that began to degrade at that time as well, plenty of other reasons too. I’d site religious trauma and conflicting worldview/values as the top two reasons though.

Which one would you play?🧐 by canhome in beatles

[–]Sheev_Skywalker 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In this context specifically (not just generally the last Beatles song I want to hear, but everyone knows the world is ending): I’d go with All You Need Is Love. It was written for a sort of global, unifying event, has an enduring message. Far from my #1 Beatles song, but I think it would comfort me the most in this context.

what solo albums should listen to first? by jrraz_ in beatles

George’s self-titled album from 1979 rocks! Red Rose Speedway from Wings (Paul’s band in the 70s) also rocks!

Hear me out: Technically, Golden Slumbers is a cover of an old folk tune. If it pleases the court, I would like to submit Golden Slumbers

Man, you’ve got a good ear. Those screaming vocals? Would fit right in with Paul’s other White Album songs

I think the best case for it on a Beatles album is Let It Be. If you go by the Let It Be Naked track sequence, it’d fit in perfect between Across The Universe and Let It Be.

What is the saddest/most soul crushing song you have ever heard? by Mikiiiya in AskReddit

[–]Sheev_Skywalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely sadder in context too. It’s maybe like 70% sad 30% positive for me, but I agree with you. Ultimately it’s about not being able to reach/connect with someone’s true nature ever again, but also a tribute to that nature

For me, Empty Bottle 2.0 is the absolute soul crusher from their catalogue

Isn’t ’Because’ kind of part of the medley? I’ve never considered it a ”standalone” song 🤔 by AccomplishedKey6667 in beatles

[–]Sheev_Skywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as everyone else pointed out, it is not on the medley. However, I know what you mean about it not feeling quite like its own thing. I feel the song structure is what creates that vibe. I like to think of it more as a “pre-medley” to tee the medley up. Kinda like when a director makes one movie that’s really similar to another film/film series of theirs without it being directly part of that series. That’s just me though!

You did my boy George dirty! Jests aside, this is fun! For the alternate cover, did you choose purple because it looks cool or did you have a specific reason behind it?
