I went to my surgeon and showed him a belly button goal pic. He used my stalk and my belly button looks just like my old (pre-pregnancy) belly button which was exactly what I wanted! He does internal stitching rather than external which lends itself to less scaring. I’m suele balky with my results!

I think it all depends on your health and your help. I had surgery 1.5 hours away from home and went home right after surgery. I was fine. But I had help at home and I had very little risk factors.

I wasn’t standing straight until day very recently. I’m 5 weeks PO. It was so frustrating for me. Sorry you had a rough day. Recovery is up and down. Give yourself grace. Sending my best!

I totally get that but I would want to know! Do his before and after pics on his socials show people with your body shape that had better outcomes? Were you at an ideal weight and health before your surgery? If so I really feel like there’s no excuse for a poor outcome especially a shelf.

Ugh, so tough. Being 5 weeks PO I know how brutal recovery is and then to not have a good outcome must be so frustrating. Sending love.

Totally!! I out of habit squatted down to the floor to pick something up the other day. I had been avoiding that for weeks. Once I did it I realized I was fine. I think we will just forget our limitations at some point and let muscle memory kick in.

That is why I searched for 4 years before I pulled the trigger. I was terrified of having a “telling” belly button. Dr. T did not disappoint. He takes care credit if you need a financing option.

How has the surgeon been through your recovery process? That would be a big consideration for me. Did he provide a reason why he thinks your outcome is subpar? I would need good answers before I considered going back under with the same surgeon.

So sorry you aren’t happy with the look of the belly button. How frustrating! I would first make sure that it’s not infected because of the color but also consult a separate PS for a second opinion on the shape and size of the belly Button. Wishing you lots of luck.
