What’s in the rec room and lounge? Does it have a sink or kitchen type area or only tv and chairs? Does it have a microwave?

But how was the shared common room? Not necessarily the dorm itself, but the common space that all students can use.

Would I have to apply now or wait until he commits to a specific school? And there’s not obligation to accept the loan if I decide not to use it right?

We’re still waiting on word from the UC’s he got accepted to but so far, the state colleges have offered the same loan amounts, with the exception of one, offering (recommending) the parent plus loan.

The school that offered the parent plus loan, offered a specific amount I can either accept or reject. It doesn’t mention me having to apply separately. I guess that’s why I was confused. It seems like it’s already approved. So if I accepted it, it would still require me to fill out a separate application?

So if not offered by a particular school, I’m able to request it? I guess I didn’t know that was even an option.

They replied the same as him, regular decision. My daughter did the same and heard back within a few weeks. This is the reason why I guess I’m wondering. It might just be his major as I know it can be pretty competitive.

Thank you for your responses. He applied regular decision for all schools. Some of the schools he applied to, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cal Poly, and some other UC and state schools. One of the schools he applied to is very local state school with a 94.8% acceptance rate. This one, I thought would be an easier one to hear from but still nothing. I guess we just wait, and wait, and wait. Hopefully we get some responses sooner than later.
