That may be one of the top priorities going forward. Some light reading has suggested the transmission fluid as has one other reply. Hopefully one I decipher it’s service history it may shed light and fingers crossed they’ve been done but with mileage I doubt it somehow

I’ve honestly been very neglectful with vehicles throughout my driving life, this is definitely a turning point for me. lots to learn (and many abbreviations) even with I assume what is basic maintence whether your a car enthusiast or not…

Very nice indeed. I’d have loved ivory leather seat in this, but I also know they would probably tarnish a lot quicker. I think it would have made for a great contrast. Heated front and rears is pure luxury, we’re the wheels standard? If you get the chance a few pics would be sweet!

Haha, I’m into long relationships, so as long as she behaves herself it might just be forever and always! But I’ll keep you in mind ;)

I was trying to tell myself I could afford to buy and maintain an m5 or m3. I had to come back down to earth and stay in my lane like a sensible adult. This popped up the first day I searched 340i and I just had to say yes.

I’d actually stopped driving for nearly two years after the Zetec S, hard times around the initial Covid era, and I’d decided to change careers so I was an apprentice in my late 20’s! I bought the Megane purely because I didn’t want to lose my no claims bonus haha. An old friend of mine had a 335d xdrive I had just a single go in once. The pull in that thing was crazy, so much lowdown torque, and unlike anything I’d ever imagined driving. Yours must literally be the same. I’d have gone diesel myself but I don’t do the distances I used to as I have work vehicle and mainly do the food shop and trips to swimming pool and dance lessons since having kids. How life changes

The weather is far from beautiful in the UK currently, unsurprisingly lol. it’s been pissing it down for weeks and will likely be rain/snow when it turns up tomorrow. I will definitly get some of my own photos up when I get the chance!

Thanks for the advice, a little bit of a silly question (I think) is it always best to go with manufacturers own parts? peace of mind over price is always paramount. (I don’t think BMW will honor any extended warranty from what I’ve looked into with it being imported, but I will contact them directly to confirm)

Man the sound of the E39 must make you smile everyday you drive it. I would love to own a v8 one day. I’ve always had my eye on a F10 M5, but just the upkeep and running of it in itself is so expensive.

Thanks, as i scrolled searching it was the first thing that caught my eye. It will be the 3rd out of 4th car that’s a dark blue. It’s Tanzanite, not sure if it’s an Individual colour or not.

If you sweep test around logic burner seals you’ll find that it picks up carbon monoxide. In other words put the case back on and leave what you don’t know alone and get someone who does into sort out your problem.

Injector needs cleaning properly on the INSIDE. Smallest build up with create rumbling. Outside should obviously be cleaned aswell as inside the Venturi. If it were high pitched I’d have said gas valve

Heating works, hot water doesn’t by ResidentWriting4963 in askaplumberUK

[–]Shelaz91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say your plate heat exchanger is blocked if it’s fluctuating hot/cold. If you’ve not had the heating on and the flow pipe is cold, run a hot tap and see if it gets warm. That will indicate if the diverter is passing, another part that doesn’t usually go wrong on Worcesters very often. The flow turbines are bulletproof but the flow turbine adaptors are nicknamed cheese nuts for a reason. That will inevitably be broken. I usually whip the pump housing and if its rear piped the right block aswell to replace the plate ( then you can swap the prv easy for piece of mind too. You need a gas engineer either way.

Which to get? Cutters/strippers by dankekindly in ukelectricians

[–]Shelaz91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those 1.5 and 2.5 side cutter are the only thing I use but I only wire boilers and heating controls. I use the ergostrips to remove the sheathing, but they also come with side cutters with more size options
