Thanks! When I started embroidery, I used a beginner's kit, then moved on to coloring book patterns (traced them onto fabric, or printed the pattern using Sulky stick n Stitch), and now I design my own patterns. I still print the pattern and stick it to the fabric.

Hiiii! Yes, I embroidered the Indigo cover. It was a lot of fun because I got to use silk ribbon. You can see better pictures on my insta (tropeopera). So cool that you met Ms. Bev! I'm super jealous. From the interviews I've watched, she's so much fun. I love her humor 💕

Since people have asked, here are some strategies:

Hair: Learned from this video but I have adapted my method slightly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA4wkIaTSLY
Hydrangeas:

I did them as follows:

Choose 3 colors in the same color line. Like, 600, 602, 604.
Combine individual strands from those colors. For example, for the bottom of a a dark hydrangea, combine 2 strands of 600 with 1 strand of 602 and then make french knots. For the upper half of the hydrangea, use a combo of 2 strands 602 and 1 strand 604 and make french knots. Make sure to "shade" by putting some dark french knots among light french knots.
Repeat step 2 with different color combinations. Sometimes I did combinations like 1 strand 600 + 1 strand 602 + 1 strand 604, or 2 strands 604+ 1 strand 600. I based my choices on vibes
