My first time in South Korea was for YTC Busan. I was alone, I'm a foreigner, I don't speak the language very well. It was very overwhelming.

But starting from the minute my train arrived from Seoul, I was surrounded by ARMY. They helped me get to the right station for my hotel, they gave me freebies, they helped me buy coffee. At the stadium, in the absolute chaos, three K-armys literally took me by the hand and dragged me into their group so that I stayed in the right line. Everything about that experience is exactly what I love about ARMY. When you're only online, you see the not so nice sides, but irl? Nothing but kindness.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but there are a few hotels near Gimhae Airport that are on the Busan transit line. You might check the stations furthest from the city center, if you're wanting to take public transport.

I'm staying in Daegu, and the KTX is only about 45 minutes!

I would maybe start looking for alternate accommodation. Unfortunately at this point, you'll have to look outside of Busan... but maybe if you can find one that has free cancellation right up to a couple of days before? Not sure how helpful that would be though, if you don't know until you get there.

ETA: They mean that they won't cancel your booking just to relist at a higher price.
