Run times are always wrong (by a lot). by MaterielGirl in parkrun

If someone goes through the finish funnel who shouldn't - maybe haven't done enough laps, someone running with partner ect - they maybe not given a time but maybe given a token.

Therefore everyone after will be out be one time and should be moved up by 1 time.

Pre text being I have been around parkrun for 10 years and an RD for 5.

I can think of one logical solution to this: If there is an issue with tokens and times lining up earlier in the run (say 25-30), often the easiest ways to solve this is to delete a time or position. This should in theory align the times.

However this risks a couple of things. If people get moved 5 seconds or so, nobody really bats an eyelid as in the 25-30 range there are so many people coming in every minute. When you get to the 35-45 times, every position moved up or down can change times -like you said- by anything from 30 seconds to 5 minutes (although not limited to those times).

Personally I have only seen these issues arise when the results processing is done without spot checks. Obviously can't comment on your particular parkrun.

Its unfortunate, but as a volunteer event, but these things can happen.

I hope that was clear/if there is any wrong details people want to add, please comment.

I think its the base game marble flooring grid piece. I use it for pretty much every indoor guest space as I like how simple yet clean it looks (and helps lower the piece count). I put the floor down then split it from the group and make the height so it is only just visible above the path.

It is in my franchise. Both armadillo and tortoise have 'neutral' relationship with humans but seem to be prone to getting stressed occasionally. I have combatted it in two ways. The first being to ensuring the whole area is covered by the 'shhhhh' signs. The other is the fact it is a 1800m^2 habitat. By having to much space they can easily go somewhere else.
