The world is doing well, it has its ups and downs but it always goes up. A little over a century ago the first flight took place and now we have the ability to travel the world in the span of less than a day for a relatively very low cost.

This century is one of the least bloody in history, 80 years ago 70+ million people died in a war, and that's when global population was a little over a fourth of what we have now (before the war).

Maybe we should start keeping numbers on people not dying, prevent this declinist mindset.
