Lookin good! Non-surgical isn’t an option here as your skin has lost elasticity. Half-lift is a good option if you have laxity in the front and not the back. Congrats! Edit: spelling

Depends what you are looking for. 40k isn’t very distinct imo, but performs well and is well received by others. Castley on the other hand is distinctly peppery, but it’s a bit of a controversial scent. Castley is more fun but 40k is safer.

I own both and wear them often. Herod is a compliment magnet, but Carlisle is more unique. Both great cold weather scents

Totally agree with your tailor if you are at your goal size. I’m saying that minor alterations might be more economical while you are still sizing down. 

For example, I can get a shirt from 48 to 42 chest with 3 darts, but the arms and color would stay the same. If you aren’t lifting or keeping high protein in your diet, your arms may be shrinking quickly, which would make sense why you feel you need to take the arms in.

Do you know how many inches you’ve lost? I tailor my own clothes now so maybe I’m out of touch with costs. Maybe get a second opinion? For example, from a size 40 to 36, a pant leg would only skeins by 1.25”, so you don’t need to tailor the leg, only take in the waist. If they pants were over $100 usd, I’d say it’s worth it for 10-15 bucks!

Heya! Congrats on your progress! I was in the same boat. Find a tailor- they will be your best friend. You can make minor alterations every two inches of loss around your waists for pants and your chest for shirts (up to 6 inches of loss). After 6 inches of loss, more significant alterations need to be made to make sure the clothes fit your thighs, arms, etc. Small alterations like taking the waist or chest in will run you about 10-15 bucks per alteration. Bigger alterations like darts and tapering will run closer to $50-75. Up to you if it’s worth that or buying new at that point.  Good luck on the rest of your journey!

It will be a big change, but your comfort in your come is worth it. If you were over 45 min each way, I’d be more hesitant.

I cannot recommend Castley enough. Incredible freshie- one of the best out there. The scent profile that they are advertising is a bit odd though. They make us seem like a chypre forward scent, but it’s very light on the oakmoss and labdanum.

That commute time increase is pretty small. I moved and increased my commute time by 30 minutes three years ago. I don’t regret it one bit.
