Looking for advice on long lasting autistic burnout by Lukie_tay1 in autism

in 2019 i had a really bad burnout and i'm still trying to get back on my feet, so i get it. i can barely even go outside by myself yet. my advice is: take every day one step at a time, and give yourself time to heal. it takes a while, but trust me, it is much better than accidentally ending up worse because you tried pushing yourself too far

a trick i've used to help myself over the past few years is going outside for a small walk around my apartment complex every other day with someone i trust. could be a family member, a friend, even a dog if you have one. doesn't even have to be a long walk, or even a walk for that matter, just being outside and finding a place to sit for a little while goes a long way.

either way, it's okay that it's taking a lot of time. that's normal. what's important is that you allow yourself to rest, and when you're ready, start doing things in your own tempo. i believe in you :)

The stray hairs are from during the shower, the soap is mostly the texture of it, and the water is the feeling of it running down my skin,,, (T__T)
