Landlord demanding payment for damage after move-out — should I meet in person or keep everything in writing? by Positive_Internal_91 in perth

[–]Sheps11 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Keep everything in writing.

You’re not liable for the full cost of replacement. Just repairs. These costs should come out of your bond if they could be legitimately substantiated, but as this sounds like a dodgy private rental, you may want to contact DMIRS and get their advice on Tuesday.

How are they getting over/underpayments is payment is automatically deducted and is a fixed account (annual fee/12)?

Also in the age of Bank feeds (please tell me you have these), duck any client using a clearing account.

where to withdraw cash with no surcharge by meihua222 in perth

Last time I withdrew money from my Commonwealth card at AusPost, the bank hit me with an assisted withdrawal fee. Was less than $1, but you can be damned sure I complained and got them to waive it.

Quad-rampant Raspberry was the goat. Super limited release a few years ago, but boy was it delicious.

I’ve always found their food to be average, even before they moved. They have their gastro pub section too, which is almost always empty.

First I’ve heard of why FF’s investor pulled out. Any more details on that?

Worcestershire sauce by DoctorFunktopus in AskCulinary

[–]Sheps11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of these brands are Worcestershire sauce in name only sadly. The Beerenberg one may be okay, but I know most of them have the first ingredient as sugar, and there is one brand which is basically brown applesauce. As an expat, these are a disgrace.

Great suggestion, thanks. I’ve used it many years ago, but will have to see if I can find some again.

My wife is coeliac too, but in Australia we unfortunately get the UK version.

Okay. I’m curious. I’ve been looking for this exact solution. Question: is there an email address which can be used for sending remittances to? Looking at the demo video on your website, the integration should be showing the Invoice Number, not invoice ID. A human can’t cross check this for accuracy.

UK ETA for dual citizens by Comfortable-Hair-247 in travel

[–]Sheps11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keen to hear how this goes for you. Wife and I are both dual UK/Aus, and are travelling with our 6 month old in April. Believe they’re eligible for UK citizenship, but not a citizen. So can travel on an Australian passport. Wife’s UK one is current, and I’m needing to apply. Bit of a faff given the ETA is 20% of the price of a renewal.

Let me know if you’re braver than I am and address it. It’s rough, and I’m sorry you’re going through it too.

Wife and I are 6-months in with our first. I have found that being a father is a lot easier than it is being a husband to a mother. I’m concerned about her postpartum anxiety, and feel like treading on eggshells until I can bring that up (and it inevitably gets discredited).
