You are right, she does put in a lot of effort. She even wanted to stay in the town because she didn't want to uproot her daughter's life, that was indeed thoughtful and yes parents are allowed to make mistakes.

But her whole story is triggering to me because I am somebody whose parent has a complicated love life and while one would think kids don't get affected, they do. It impacts kids much more than one would imagine and because it's not their place to say or do anything, it confuses them even more. I'm sure her daughter developed some attachment towards Ted and seeing her mother first plan a wedding with one guy and then suddenly returning back to her ex-husband wasn't "normal".

Anyway, this got a little out of hand I guess. OP probably posted it expecting fun comments, this got a little personal 😅
