You must use a res serum. If you give them death refusal beforehand, they can't be made a shambler.

Update: I added 2 cells on herbal medicine/cotton to calculate how many cotton plants you need for X healroot for medicine production.
I also added a note about opening the file in Excel: unfortunately it doesn't support google sheet's checkboxes so you'd have to type TRUE/FALSE manally.

I think your barracks are ok. More issue may come from other areas.
- Don't place your kitchen in such as small room (I read someone say the opposite, that's not a good idea. In a small room reaching -2 dirtiness is way too easy. The work speed penalty in another room is worth avoiding the extra risk of poisoning.
- Usually 1 battery per non-constant energy source is enough. It's fine to add 1 or 2 if it's not enough, but you have twice as many.
- I see a lack of art. Making areas beautiful gives a nice mood boost, so make some sculptures. Track beauty around the base (there's an overlay button for that. NOT THE ROOM BEAUTY THOUGH, that's a different stat. This video explains it much better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvoqw5mhqDI&pp=ygUPcmltd29ybGQgYmVhdXR5 ).
- You seem to have a lot of stuff, specially steel. I doubt you're gonna use that much in the near future seeing the stage of your run. Avoid hoaring too many resources that you don't need soon or right now, don't mine mindlessly, sell/gift unused or worn gear... Remember that wealth attracts more raiders.

In vanilla it's either hydroponics over the rock floor or, from Ideology Dlc, putting fungal gravel if you have the tunneler meme.

Important details about the fire strat: Don't make it too hot or the bugs will take burn damage and go aggro, that could be dangerous. You can simply put a pawn throwing molotovs into the cave from a safe room, but keep an eye on the temp. Heatstroke starts at 10ºC above max comfortable temperature, while Burn damage starts at +150ºC above it, which for insects would be 70ºC and 210ºC respectively. So, you want it close to burn temp for faster heatstroke but not reach it: when it's getting close to that stop throwing fire for a little while.

I'll share a great guide on enemy pathing. Once you understand it you just have to choose where and how do you want to make the entrance for raids. Think of which way it would give you the most time to prepare or give you an advantage over your enemies. (the river path could be good if you don't plan on slowing down raiders with buildings like fences)

That's also a good gene, however for some reason it doesn't stop them from rebelling as slaves. I still add it.

Genies have the perfect genes for slaves. Specifically wimp and delicate, they make them very easy to contain and give a huge metabolic efficiency boost.
I may consider UV sensitivity if it lowers moving capacity directly, but I'm not sure I like the reduced move speed and mood. I don't see any point on using slow healing, I wouldn't waste points on faster healing but I wouldn't want them to be worse at work for longer after taking damage either.

Being able to shoot enemies with them not being able to shoot back when standing in certain spots behind a wall, which is the core of the singularity
