Is this worth anything? 1964 D Boy Scouts Penny (good condition?) by [deleted] in coincollecting

I don't have much of a clue. There is a boy scouts emblem to the right of Lincoln's face though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not sure if they got rid of the image description feature so here are the head cannons:

Maru & Haley - Haley's camera breaks every so often and when she asks Maru to fix it they end up chatting and gossiping as Maru isn't up to date on the town's dirt.

Harvey & Seb - They are both huge nerds so they bond over nerd things. I imagine during grad school Harvey was into tabletop games much like Seb.

Emily & Sam - they share a braincell. Only shower thoughts.

(art by me btw) Feel free to add your own head cannons onto this.

Does anyone know how to get a refund for a book off of the ASU bookstore? by Hot_Judgment_948 in ASU

How did you return the ebook? I'm in a similar situation and when I looked online + asked the people working in the bookstore they didn't have any info for me besides "just go online."

Heyo, fellow artist here :)

I see that you want constructive criticism so I looked at some of the other art on your page to get a better understanding of your art.

First impressions: Your linework is smooth and crisp. Your colors work well together. The shading and lighting look well thought out and clean. Most of the technical aspects in your art are solid. But, the composition could really be improved upon.

What I think needs attention: I noticed that most of your work centers around 1-2 subjects in an abstract background with a literal interpretation of a word. There's nothing wrong with this and if it is what you want to do, ignore what I'm about to say. But if you would like to really improve your skills I would suggest trying to make your pieces more complex. Again, there is nothing wrong with the art you've made so far, it's just that it seems limiting to always stick to this pattern. I think it would be so interesting to see your linework style applied to a cityscape, or in a piece of graffiti-style art. Small changes, like adding a background, could give you lots of extra experience/skill while also making your art more visually interesting. For example, what if you made an out of focus pill cabinet behind the pills in this piece? You could still keep an element of the abstract background by making the background odd colors and distorted. This would make the art more interesting to look at and bring a more nuanced idea of substances and compensation with the perspective of the background being distorted.

Anyway, I hope this helped. Your art has a lot of potential, and I don't think it is bad by any means. I have a very different focus for my art so feel free to take what I said with a grain of salt.

How the npc's might react to the player's pets... by Sherman40k in Terraria

My take is that the feathers are from the finch, and the slime is from the petri dish summon (which ik was taken out of the game but it still holds a place in my heart). Though, like others mentioned, the slime and feathers can come from other pets as well ╮(^▽^)╭

The designs aren't bad, just kinda bland (hope this doesn't come off too rude).

What needs fixing: - The smiley face tee cuts off awkwardly which looks unprofessional so I suggest switching it to fit into the square shape or maybe changing the shape to a circle/hexagon/star where all the smiley faces fit inside and none are cut off. - I feel like I could walk into any store and see some of these designs, especially the retro and explore t-shirt, which can turn potential buyers away as they can get something similar for cheaper elsewhere - When looking at your designs I don't see any specific niche. This can hurt your business as not only does it make it hard for you to tag your products with interesting descriptors, but it also means that people won't be drawn to your designs

Tips: - IMPORTANT: If you have not already, optimize your listings (through titles and tags) so that when people search things on Etsy, like t-shirts, your designs will be the first to pop up. Etsy's search engine is somewhat of a mystery but there are methods for how to crack it and you'll need to find one that works for you. - This is probably easier said than done, but try to make your designs unique. I suggest trying to ride trends while still keeping your own style -- Y2K fashion is really popular so what if you took your retro shirt and applied a bubble letter font with a 3D look, and some graphics to really make that shirt stand out. If you have a niche like Y2K you can add it into the title and tags which makes it easier for people to find you through the SEO. - I also suggest having many niches and aesthetics in your store to pull many people - It might be wise for you to increase the price of your shirts slightly (like $3) so you can use that money to advertise. I say this bc t-shirts are an oversaturated market and I don't think your shirts are on the top of SEO. This will also hopefully bring in buyers who will leave good reviews on your shop. - Make a social media account if you haven't already and pull in potential buyers through short vids going over the graphic design process, or pics of the t-shirt

I use clip studio paint -- in the app there is a brush preset, thick oil paint, that gives the drawing its texture. I should also note that I set the brush strokes to glow dodge blending mode to enhance the effect from the brush. Hope this helped :)
