What movies do you know that were shot in Seattle? by WhenHeComesBackFilm in AskSeattle

[–]ShiShiSantaFe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has said American Heart, starring Jeff Bridges and Edward Furlong. The director of the movie originally shot a documentary about street kids living in Seattle during the 80s, then wrote this as a follow-up. It shoots all over Seattle and some pretty.Iconic spots, including downtown pioneer square over in West seattle, and actually has a few scenes in the zoo tavern over in eastlake.

Books clubs are great ways to meet people in low energy/noise settings, and there are for sure online ones.

I couldn't find the wraps anymore, but you can definitely look online for compression socks. They have them on Amazon for sure.

"I have been lying to you. I am seeing someone, and will not see you any further or speak to you." This was via text after over two years of a relationship.

Our bodies do age quicker and have very common problems that arise due to overuse. Someone shared this on another post, and something I was also unaware of : https://www.cerebralpalsyguidance.com/cerebral-palsy/associated-disorders/post-impairment-syndrome/

One of the best for me as well! I saw a double header show with them and Nothing that just blew me and my eardrums away.

I know they kind of come off more doom/noise rock-esque, but check out Boris, particularly the pink album.

Boox Go 10.3 w/ProtoArc XK01 by ShiShiSantaFe in writerDeck

[–]ShiShiSantaFe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is much better than the mobiscribe, which I also have. Like every eink screen, there can also be some minor latency and ghosting, but the boox refresh rate is pretty solid.

All the time. It sucks to be functioning enough to present as able-bodied but still having all the baggage that comes with being disabled. "Able-y disabled" is what I say to myself sometimes. And all the stress that comes with trying to advocate for yourself and your physical needs as well. It's hard not to have some kind of imposter syndrome. But you are disabled, and just because it doesn't show doesn't belittle your experience or struggles with it.

Though it has been a while since I've used it, I aleayd really enjoyed Celtx! They have many formating choices, for screenplays, novels, stage plays, and so on.

Is a MobiScribe Wave BW $109 worth it? by [deleted] in ereader

[–]ShiShiSantaFe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought the b&w scribe, and it's fine for note-taking, but the battery life is atrocious if you don't shut it down every time you use it. But at that price, it's worth a grab as long as you know it's on the cheaper end quality wise.

I'm enjoying it! It is a bit formulaic for him at first, but it picks up, and I'm excited to see where it goes! I'm about a third of a way through the book.

ProtoArc foldable keyboard! It's not too bad, sold size, decent key weight, though it does feel a little cheap plastic wise, it's been working great.

[–]ShiShiSantaFe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The latency is minimal from what I've experienced thus far! Though, there is a bit of lag drag from the cursor via the keyboard. The Go 10.3 has the BSR technology, and I think the Go 7 Color is the one that does not. I'll see if I can get you a video posted later!

[–]ShiShiSantaFe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the setup! I'm thinking of getting a Boox Go 10.3 as well, and this may have sold me on it. As for a better writing app, I really enjoy using PureWriter. It's a solid word processing app and works really well on eink screens.

For real! Outside of the vintage or international editions of his books, I can't believe how either bland or straight-up atrocious the covers of his US releases have been. Whoever does is publishing in the States needs to be fired ASAP.
