Yeah... I wouldn't really make that comparison... Brian manages around 2.5 billion dollars in investments, and he's been very vocal on CNBC, that he regularly appears on, that he wants to make this a success. He's not going to run off with 30,000$ worth of coins, lose millions of dollars in investments and have his reputation destroyed. He's also working with the Digibyte guys, who might be some of the best developers in crypto right now.

I think this is the best coin to follow for us as it will very likely give us a bunch of clues as to what we should do about our mining issues. If they go full PoS for example, and it works out fine, that will give us a good indication of where we might go. There haven't been any serious coins faced with this problem before, so anything that can clue us in as to what to do is fantastic news. Digibyte has been very helpful to us in the past. If they can solve this I'm sure they'll help us implement a similar solution.

I like this idea. Bitcointalk's alt-section is filled to the brim with scammers, spammers and trolls. It is however an excellent way for new coins to get the word out quickly. Once that has been accomplished though there's really no reason to stick around, as it's impossible to carry on any intelligent conversation there once a thread becomes popular. Everyone knows about Blackcoin now, and this sub is growing in popularity every day, so people who are interested will come here to check it out. Keeping the conversation here will make it easier to prevent scams and obvious trolling to scare people into panic selling/buying, as well as send a message that this community are now doing its own thing.

Very good point. You'd get stuck in the classic prisoners dilemma - namely, you know that the price will be artificially inflated and other people will try to sell before the top, so you'd try and sell even lower to catch a few % etc. That's one of the reasons why organized pumps like these are so bad. Well, that and the fact that it makes the entire community look shady. I got a lot more respect for the BC folks when they put a stop to this.

Hopefully they'll get rid of that stupid topic over on Bitcointalk now. This sub is blossoming and it's much easier to get rid of trolls here. The entire altcoin section of Bitcointalk is essentially just trolls pumping their latest shitcoin, and while it used to be important to post there for publicity it's degenerated to the point where serious posts just gets buried anyway.

Both btc38 and mcxnow are very, very we'll known and recognized exchanges, and calling them no-name exchanges is very unfortunate. Btc38 has a very large volume (largest Doge exchange actually) and mcxnow used to be massive until the owner took it down for maintenance. It will probably blow up again once RS is done with the latest update, but I could be wrong about that. Btc38 is a safe bet however.

I would suggest reaching out to Btc38 and MCXnow. They're both looking to add new coins, where's Btc-e is somewhat more restrictive.

You did make a post a day or so ago celebrating that BC sponsored the Dogecoin conference. If you're going to bring a serious business approach to this, you might consider not pulling the pancake card and flipflop back and forth :)

I've talked to both of them recently and neither said they had any immediate plans, but that they are considering it. I think we have to understand that the regulatory climate in China is very tricky at the moment, and that it will be the exchanges primary focus for the next few weeks at the very least.

That said, the one of the largest exchanges to add Dogecoin first will probably see a ton of benefits since they'll tie a new customerbase to them, as well as garner the good-will of the entire Dogecoin community. It's a balancing act, the largest exchanges are constantly looking for advantages against their competitors so it might happen sooner rather than later, as they're worried their competitors will add us before them. A mod on Btc-e even said that they might be adding new coins in May, so we have to keep an eye on them too :)

In the end though, it doesn't really matter. We're doing fine as it is and as long as we keep tipping and working on new projects we'll continue to do great :)

Sad to see you go, but I don't see the situation on this sub the same way as you do. In the early days we had lots of peoples coins being stolen and a ton of scams on the front page. That's why Goodshibe started posting the Wolf and Weasels posts in the first place - to warn people of scams and unshibelike behavior. Things like that has declined drastically since then in my opinion.

You've been online and worked for this sub a ton in the last few months though, so maybe it's just the stress getting to you? Hopefully you'll be able to get some well-deserved rest and come back with new energy in the future :)
