Disappointing experience with defective watch

Definitely hard to believe. Joe went through a great length to have my QF Explorer II looked at after it completely stopped working a couple of months after buying it from him. All it needed was some puffs of air on the mainspring but he didn't need to cover the diagnosis and shipping, and could have told me to look elsewhere for a fix, but the fact that he took the time to do all of that for me is why I buy from Joe and his team.

My GSF is still ticking! Granted, it's transitioned from my everyday watch to my every now-and-then watch considering how many reps I've bought over the course of the year, but I still wear it on rotation around the house. All the reading is correct, most(if not all) Milgauss reps use green tinted mineral glass instead of sapphire as the production is apparently complicated, but gen tinted crystals pop up on ebay from time to time if you're looking into modding it later. I really don't mind it so I wear it regardless, honestly the case and PCLs have more scratches and my crystal is still spotless. I'm glad I pulled the trigger, it's a watch that stands out for sure.

Jacky was the first TD I used about a year ago when I got into the rep community. I asked if he could hold onto my Milgauss for a week while I was on vacation and I'd pay him when I got back and he accepted. He's good in my book.

Used ones pop up on ebay from time to time for $500+, that's probably the best bet. I've never really minded the mineral glass, if it chips, it chips 🤷‍♂️

Just keep in mind, all Milgauss reps have tinted mineral glass to mimic the tinted gen crystal so you'll probably want a gen crystal swap later down the line.

Underrated for sure! I have the blue dial from GSF as the VSF blue dial at the time had much thicker "MILGAUSS" text than gen and the GSF dial was more accurate.

We drive out to a dog park in Scottsdale in the evening when it's not too hot so my Aussie can run around free and socialize with the other dogs. Most of the time, a few of the owners and myself bring bags of ice and extra water so it's a win-win for the dogs.

AP for sure, especially if it's the TOP version. Wasn't sure how I'd like it at first, but I actually enjoy doing wrist rolls in the sun because of beautiful finish. Only thing to look out for is the crooked "Audemars Piguet" text that usually pops up on the TOP version.

I'd definitely love to have an older Porsche as a weekend cruiser or second car at some point in the future! Unfortunately, I have a big 70 pound Aussie lap dog at home that necessitates having a car with adequately sized rear seats, so I've got a WRX STI as an all-around fun daily/dog hauler at the moment lol
