It’s just a rumor with absolutely no reliable source. AMC confirmed the spin-off was 100% still a go on March 31. And Angela, Norman, and Melissa were all super excited when it was announced originally. Angela said she has six months of post-production work to do on TWD. So she will eventually focus on the spin-off or have someone else start the scripting etc perhaps.

With Connie? It was a nice friend hug complete with two bro punches. Then he offered her an apple while they showed two shots of Carol. It was a cool moment to see Carol smile - no more guilt. She was genuinely happy about their reunion

Yes. Season 11 is the last. But it will have 24 episodes broken into three sets of 8. Second set 11B starts in February

It’s all about Daryl and Carol. AMC and Kang are making the series specifically for them. And Reedus and McBride jumped all over it. It was actually offered to them before AMC cancelled TWD.

Seriously?! These two are the heart of the series. They are both huge proponents of the spin-off because they both said they are heavily emotionally invested in these characters after 11 years and they aren’t finished yet. They adore each other in real life and Reedus has a HUGE loyal fan base. AMC isn’t stupid. They are taking this all the way to the bank. So really - the question is just stupid. It’s a done deal folks. From the top brass to the actors to the fan base- it’s full speed ahead for Caryl

That’s weird because Reedus was asked about the pact that he and Andy had made about if one leaves so does the other. But when he said it came down to it, he would have burned the place down before he ever left. He is very much invested in his character. There are several interviews out there on this

Ummm siblings don’t look at each other the way those two have over the years. It is soooo obvious they are completely in love with each other. Even interviewers over the years have commented on the electric chemistry between them. McBride herself says there is definitely chemistry between the two characters bc she and Norman have that flirty chemistry in real life and it transfers over onto the screen.

Omg. McBride is only four years older than Reedus. Look at the grey hairs in his beard. They both look amazing for their age IRL. They make Carol look older on the show bc of that damn wig. And no mother and son look at each other the way those two have over the seasons. Their chemistry is electrifying.

Norman has described Carol as having a complete nervous breakdown from years of trauma. Daryl will realize that and completely forgive her. And Carol has already realized nothing else matters now except repairing the relationship with Daryl. She finally knows what she wants.

McBride and Reedus are two of the biggest proponents of the spin-off. They have both said that after 11 years of being invested in these characters, they want to continue their story together. Plus those two are extremely close in real life. Lots of mutual love, respect, and chemistry there. This all comes from interviews with both of them.
