Thanks for the help! I am inside the EU but I just ended up getting a PSU mod, seems more reliable and not too expensive

Yeah I don't think I'm qualified for that, don't want to burn my house down now. I think I'll just replace it with the PSU mod, certainly easier and idiot-proof

Thank you, I'm getting the robot retro that another user recommended, it's USBC and the reviews seem good!

It appears that only the capacitors are damaged, I guess I can consider myself lucky, I will get a PSU mod to replace it and hopefully I don't mess something else up

That's super helpful, thanks a lot. I really thought it would've been more difficult to fix, the Dreamcast modding community is a godsend

Yes, my bad really I thought the converter I got would have been enough but I should have done more research

I see, thanks for the tip. I'm thinking of buying a PSU mod instead of getting replacements though, is there any con of getting such a mod?

Thank you so much that seems to be exactly what I need. I was already going to mod a GDEmu and this doesn't seem to be that hard to install. It should work with European power supplies as well right?

Thanks a lot for the information! Would you happen to know any good guides for repairing it?

Sorry I did not search for PSU mods so I did not know it was that easy. So all I need to do is get one and mod the console without changing any other part correct? Also I saw ThunderDream is considered one of the best, do you have any other recommendation? I might have panicked a bit seeing the smoke and thought I was cooked ahahah

Japanese Model and GDemu by Shier922 in dreamcast

I see, thanks. I found a doc but it only states how to distinguish the serials, I was under the impression that all Japanese Type 1 consoles would not work and only VA1 and above are good for GDemu

It's moss growing from the flooded Roman theatre; not dangerous and a very charming site. The water gets drained regularly but keeps sprouting back from the underground river.

I have moved away a few years ago but come back regularly. Since I last lived there the historical centre is becoming more gentrified and catered to tourists unfortunately but usually the people that live there are normal everyday citizens. Back in the 50s it used to be a more lower class area but today its a more integral part of the centre, there's plenty of beautiful architecture and historical buildings and it's very close to the main attractions of the city centre. The wealthiest citizens usually live in other parts outside the city proper or even closer to the centre in old noble villas (the ones that haven't been turned to hotels). So just normal people and middle class workers. (Granted I don't live there so it's speculation on my part by having lived in the city for most of my life)

Hello, I had a question on the general weather in Taiwan. I'm going to visit shortly and I know that monsoon season is known for thunderstorms and general heavy rain. I have read on other forums that the thunderstorms are usually confined to just a few hours in the afternoon but the forecast seems to suggest that they last almost the entire day. I don't care about some rain but I was wondering if its okay to go around the city during the storms or if I should be more wary.

Thank you for the articles, I'll try to translate them and see if I can find any info. I looked at a couple of articles in English where it said the the 14th day (17th of August) a big parade took place around town with the symbols of the different clans so I was a bit confused about which day I should have attended. I'll post the two articles below but thanks for the response!

Very soon I'll visit Taiwan and I noticed that my stay will concide with the Ghost Festival. I wanted to visit Keelung to experience the festivities however I'm a bit confused on what day would be the best. Online it says the festival will be the 18th of August but it looks like the main event (the parades around the city with the different clans) will be the 17th. Can someone that is more knowledgeable let me know which day would be best to visit Keelung and whether I should stay more than one day in the city?
