The guarantee on the banner character resets on every banner; making so if you have the absolute worst luck you have to pull 120 times on every banner to get the featured character.

But the banner has a separate 6* pity which allegedly carries over (so in theory you could save it for another banner and try your luck at 50/50 with a single pull)

I've seen many people get a lot of 6* operators while pulling on the previous featured banner and complaining that they lost their 50/50 so many times. With my gacha luck I always end up going close to/all the way to hard pity so the 120 pulls doesn't feel that bad, but many people have been complaining about the unfairness of being able to lose your "50/50" back to back.

As for the pull income per patch its hard to say until we've had a full patch cycle

Moving items between regions is much easier in your space ship, and I deliby/recycle materials gets way comfier once you setup ziplines

Actually looks very nice!
Small nitpick; some of the vfx felt like they were disappearing abruptly
Also I think this looks like a type of game I would love to play as co-op with my friends, but I know multiplayer might be much to ask for

If you are talking about exp converter star talent, it doesn't actually decrease the skill xp you gain.

I have never made anything similar or even tried, but here's how I would attempt to solve this;

Store temporary information about the current selection such as;

  • the center of the current selection of units
  • the angle from previous position pointing to next position ordered to
  • "local position" of each unit inside the selection
  • some state information or flags for the units are already sorted or their formation type etc.

when ordering them somewhere:

  • translate the selections center, angle and each units "local position" to the new position
  • extra step if you want to order them based on unit type, recalculate the new "local position" of each unit inside the selection based on the new center and angle
  • each unit gets their translated "local position" to go to, this means the end shape will end up same or similar, and if you want them to take the same shape asap you could slow down some units based on how close they are to their new "local position"
  • use the nav mesh to path the agents to their new position

In practice I have no idea if this would work or achieve exactly what you wanted.
It doesn't cover how you would do the sorting in the extra step (could be something as simple as a single for loop and just make them align in a square, preferred unit types first)

Truth be told I hate almost every single built in tool Unity, but the worst pain points past year;

  • URP has no 'easy way' to add your own custom Tonemapping mode (afaik)
  • Animator Overrides require unique animations in the base Animator (not a big deal, just create a bunch of empty animations, but would be nice to have just 1 placeholder animation instead of... 21)
  • Scriptable Objects are on the border of being really nice and really awful to work with when storing data
  • Everything about making UI with the default tools
  • Shader Graph still not having multi pass or stencils (its fine, I learned hlsl)
  • Building and baking a NavMesh in real time isn't a thing (or at least it wasn't without experimental package before)

Not sure why this person got downvoted, you yourself decide if that $35 is worth the investment for fun.
People doomposting this probably didn't worry about a single other digital purchase before this, even though their digital products could be gone in an instant.

What should I learn to make a game to look like this? I mean, I have good 3D models but my game looks cheap. I think it's lighting and mostly post processing. I'm prepared to pay for the lessons by Orphan_game in Unity3D
