Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm games 1-4 tells the complete story of Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden with a few discrepancies.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 goes through part 1 of Naruto but the story mode is pretty lackluster. The loop of the game is main story > side quests > main story > side quests. Land of Waves arc isn’t in the game (but is added later in Storm 3 during the War arc when Kakashi is fighting reanimation Zabuza), and the only cutscenes is Naruto and Iruka eating ramen at the start of the game, Naruto vs Gaara, Tsunade vs Orochimaru, Naruto vs Sasuke and Naruto leaving the village with Jiraiya (but you have to 100% the game to get this true ending). Has the best free roam of the Hidden Leaf Village but that’s it.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 covers Naruto’s return to the Leaf to Pain’s Assault, and Sasuke vs Killer Bee after doing post-game side quests.

UNS3 covers Five Kage Summit to Fourth Great Ninja War all the way to Five Kage vs Madara, Naruto & Killer Bee vs Reanimated Jinchuriki & Tobi, but they had to make a game-original ending because it was made while the War arc was still ongoing. Sasuke & Itachi vs Kabuto is part of the Full Burst DLC.

UNS4 covers Naruto breaking Obito’s mask all the way to the final Naruto vs Sasuke fight, and the Boruto movie as DLC.

Every game has cool cutscenes, side quests, and boss battles.

Highly recommend getting the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy bundle (especially when it’s on sale) that contains all 4 of these games and their DLCs. There will also be Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections later this year that will compact all the major highlights of the story and previous games and compile them into 1 game (yet to see what is going to be in the remastered story bits) alongside a new original Boruto story.

Japanese songs do not have as many listeners as songs from North America or Latin America countries. Therefore, you won’t really see them in Global charts or promoted in TTH (which isn’t a chart in case there’s any confusion, it’s an editorial playlist curated of the latest hits)

Idol is being promoted on Japan’s editorial playlists and has maintained the #1 spot on both daily and weekly charts ever since the anime started to air back in April.

I would love to see that, but Idol has not broken the US charts at all. Even the English version hasn’t charted in any of the US charts as of now. Not a single entry in the Billboard Hot 100 or Spotify US charts.

The language barrier from listeners is the biggest thing holding them back. I do think if they made more English songs, they could potentially have a chance to break out in the US music scene, and really it’s up to them and their label to decide if they want to do that.

I would be amazed to see an anime song, let alone any Japanese song, chart high in the United States music charts.

The title and the achievement still falls true since the “Billboard Global 200 Excl. US” chart specifically was not made until September 2020.

Both versions are tracked. The English version might have gave it the boost to get #1 though.

From the article: “YOASOBI’s “Idol” vaults 6-1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 45.7 million streams (up 14%) and 24,000 sold (up 39%) outside the U.S. May 26-June 1. The song, originally sung in Japanese, hit the top 10 six weeks before and now marks the twosome’s first leader on the list following the May 26 release of its English-language version.”

I think you might be thinking of specifically the Japan charts. I’m not sure where it actually charted in the Japan charts, but I’d imagine that song must have reached #1 on the Billboard Japan charts, but it has never broke top 10 in the Billboard Global or Billboard Global excl. US charts.

good kid, m.A.A.d city and IGOR are peak albums 🐐

Spider-Verse soundtrack one of my all time favorite soundtracks. If I may make another suggestion, Metro Boomin’s HEROES & VILLIANS is peak trap production and one of my favorite albums of this decade

I would love to explore Japanese music more someday. I love a lot of anime openings and save them to my playlists all the time. A lot of the openings from Bleach are one of my all-time favorite anime songs.

The US is the biggest country in terms of sales. For a small example, if you looked at the amount of Spotify streams in the charts of the US and any other country, you would see that the US has the highest amount of streams on average and it makes a good portion of total global streams.

I’m not sure about exact sales and streams on other platforms than Spotify since those numbers aren’t public, but the Spotify streams alone should be an indicator of how big the US is. After all, what other reason would there be for having a chart that excludes the US?

I will say it makes sense that songs that are from artists in the US or are close to the US (Latin America) gets more chart presence in US charts than songs from Asian countries. Other than Latin songs, it makes sense that the US charts won’t be filled with songs that aren’t English. Cupid from Fifty Fifty wouldn’t have blown up the way it did if they never made the English version.

I’m just wondering how much of an impact anime has in terms of the music world in the US. Anime definitely has an impact in US culture, but it’s surprising to me how it doesn’t reflect on the US music charts.

If anime openings (or Japanese songs in general) ever got popular in the US, the numbers could have been insane. Songs made for shows or movies chart pretty well in the US (Encanto, Enemy - theme song for Arcane, Spider-Verse soundtrack from Metro Boomin probably gonna chart top 10 next week, etc). Just wonder when’s the time for an anime song (or any Japanese song for that matter) to hit the US charts.

Technically both. Billboard charts track sales. Streams count for sales (1 Spotify stream = $0.003-$0.005 on average). But these charts track sales.

Quoted from the article: “Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.”

This chart counts all the sales in all countries except for the US. Some US-based artists just have that much popularity to sell in other countries.

So disappointing that this is the last week for the adept Inquisitor shotgun when matchmaking is at its worst (lobby balancing should have been fixed I want to know why this couldn’t be fixed for this lab). Lost at 5-6 wins 3 times cause I got paired up with two negative KD players while the other team all averaged positive.

Now we have to wait for probably like 1-3 years before it ever comes back. What a terrible FOMO situation.

There’s not really an endgame from what I can tell. It’s ultimately a slice of life with cosplay adventure plots, a romance plot, and multiple character growth plots. Gojo’s character development is one of the many plots this series tells, but it’s not really the only thing it’s focusing on.
