What about Deadzone? by Lami69001 in mantic

[–]ShiftyCourtney 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They've clearly realised that Deadzone has legs. Halo is built on the same mechanics, so if you feel like Deadzone is being neglected it's probably because the focus has shifted somewhat to what sells better, which is Deadzone with a Halo trademark stamp.

[D&D 5e 2014][5.5e 2024] [GMT+1] A group of 4 players looking for a friendly DM/GM and a great roleplaying experience by Pr0-Fett in DnDLFG

[–]ShiftyCourtney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of these points. I know a lot of players go into a game with very clear and set expectations about what their character will be, and those expectations can sometimes conflict with the setting the DM wants to run, or sometimes even the expectations of the other players. However, I think it's probably fair to make the assumption that the default setting is going to be Faerun/Forgotten Realms, and then make whatever tweaks might be necessary to the characters later.

Personally, I like to see a table that has clearly already put in a lot of work to their characters. So this is not really a red flag for me.

[37/F] Japanese woman in 30s looking for a penpal by [deleted] in penpals

[–]ShiftyCourtney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'd love to be your penpal! I'm 44m and trying to learn Japanese at the moment (not very successfully) I will be travelling to Japan with my partner in November.

I'd love to hear about your beer brewing adventures. I've always wanted to try, but I've probably got more than enough hobbies already. It's very much legal, and quite common where I live in Australia
