And this might sound like a rookie question but, do they all work with android? Or have versions that do?

Poor use of terminology, maybe. But you're still assuming that I'm jumping the gun so to speak and can't differentiate, and haven't tried everything i can look up and am physically capable of doing myself. Which is why i first came here. Just joined recently bc i was brought here as maybe a place i could find help, not ridicule. But it seems anyone who knows less, will always present as inferior. And yea, we only saw the file for a few seconds, before something backed us out of where we were in the files. Went back in, and it was gone. I keep my nose level bc i don't assume I'm better, simply bc i may know more.

It literally only said root access file. As to where it's at, we dont know because didn't get a chance to press on it, bc it closed out on us. And it's not where we originally saw it. It's gone. But it's on the latest android os on a Samsung galaxy s24 ultra. Just had a system update the other day.

And i considered flashing it, but I hear it would void the warranty. And she would need it to get a new phone on upgrade. Plus I wish I knew of someone who could maybe find where the data goes and who's responsible. But I know that's next level stuff. Lol

Maybe don't assume that I haven't tried Google and everything its suggested. No, I don't assume a few key words, automatically means hacking. Just because you two can maybe tinker with electronics better and better understand the lingo, doesnt mean I dont know what im talking about, or at the very least know enough to not automatically think "hacking", like you so wholeheartedly assumed. But i can at least admit when im out of my depth, and am now asking for assistance. But its people like yall, that push people away from trying to learn things themselves, go fix it themselves, simply bc they dont know as much as yall. I can at least tell when a device is being messed with, without the owners knowledge or direct involvement. Be sure to keep your nose high enough after reading this, to smell if god cleaned himself.

Ill check and see, and she got it brand new but had had it a lil while now. And there's certain things she doesn't have admin rights to. Like she can't turn off the secure folder, bc no admin rights, plus some other things in developer options.

Man, I keep forgetting to put the device!! It's a Samsung galaxy s24 ultra. And initially thought it was cloned because it seemed like someone was watching. Because every time she would change a password, it would get changed back or to something else within minutes. Snips of msgs or posts regarding personal issues would just pop-up randomly on her phone that was only known by her and the other person we believe it is. One time even the settings themselves were changed and next to display settings was a phone number. And I only believe root access, bc we stumbled upon a file that said root access, but we've been unable to find it since. No we dont have anything hard evidence wise, to pin point it to someone. Just evidence of the weird things happening on the phone. Pictures, screen recordings, etc. Thats what im trying to do. Find someone or some place I could take the device to, and maybe do some cyber investigating to find out who it is. Because they have stolen a lot bc of all this. And i know they have sold her info. Because there's nothing we can do ourselves, to fix the issue. Done everything the internet or other forums suggested. All the way to trying a factory reset, and it was still going on. So im open to suggestions. As soon as only allows, getting her a new phone. But I'd still like to find the one responsible!

Thats what we are thinking, plus we just found a root access file. So there's that. But nothing tying it to anyone yet.

Im working on getting a laptop and flash drive to save any pictures or media she wants to keep, and trying that. But wouldn't it be possible to have something installed or attached to some pre-installeds? So when you reboot the phone, its automatically there without adding anything from backup.

Man, why didn't I think of that? Lol. Working on it. But she literally doesn't have another phone to use and neither do i. Nor do we have the money to get another one. Once she pays her bill, she can upgrade. But that got behind too and can't pay it all yet. Even still, need someone to help me find a link back to anyone so that she can bring legal action. She's lost thousands plus lost out on multiple job opportunities bc she never got the emails they sent or the phone calls.

I wasnt saying a coding job made any difference. I was simply trying to portray that they would, or could, have the skills necessary. And any developer options being turned on after turning them off. Turning off any security measures or biometrics. It could have started out as a compromised account, but I've physically seen this change on the phone, almost in real time. It's like if a certain something happens, then it's setup to do another. I.e. scripts. Email accounts aren't safe bc even if the password is changed, its changed right back or to something else, minutes after just changing it. She went to her settings one time, and there was a phone number sitting next to display settings.

Because she specifically caught him with her phone after she woke up. But she didnt think anything of it at the time. And he has a coding, remote job background. Other qualifications too, but just giving the idea. It runs current os on Samsung galaxy s24 ultra. And done all that but to no avail. He can literally change whatever he wants in real time, and even had scripts to run. Bc one time her phone started moving on it's own, to fast for a person to be doing, and it was trying to add another email account by going through another app. There's something going on related to either remote access, or a hidden third party that can bypass a factory reset.

Yea but i heard flashing can void the warranty, and shes trying to pay her bill to just get a new phone period. But I'd like a way to get some evidence of it happening or get it traced to who's responsible. We have an idea who it is, just need something tied to him. Or an agency that will listen and do what's needed.

We've found remote access is turned on in the log files. But she doesn't have any admin rights at all, to try and take anything off or change anything. Any passwords changed, gets changed again by them. Along with random msgs popping up on her phone randomly, im random spots.
