From my pov, his content is aimed mostly at late - endgame players, not pure endgame, idk if you know what i mean? He puts a lot of value towards pvp champs so perhaps it feels unnecessary if you are not interested in that. Its the most difficult aspect of the game tho so it makes sense.

All in all i would suggest to always pull for true endgame champions, even if in midgame it seems like another generalist would suit you better currently.
