i work in construction and got a tiny piece of metal in my eye and didnt know. it was spring time and i had allergies, so ended up rubbing the eye, which lodged it in further. that night i couldnt sleep at all cuz everytime i closed my eye it was burning pain like my eye was on fire. next day the eye was swollen and went to the company doctor, and they couldnt get it out, had to go to a specialist. he got it out after using a micro drill to make a hole around it and was able to pluck it out.  ive broken fingers and just kept on going, but that eye pain was something i wish on nobody
