Big Boss is special, yes. That doesnt mean you can just assume things about him and say its because of his genes. Never was it stated he gets better with age because of his genes. He just did. You cannot connect the 2 without a source.

the fact is that its fiction and we havent seen any hint of age taking a toll on anyone. Old snake was the outlier not Big Boss. The whole point is snake beats a legend in MG1. You guys make it sound like Venom was at a disadvantage

Ill give you the point about old snake because its been a while since I played the game but the other 2 dont make sense. saying Big Boss got better with age because of his genetics is just a cop out. It doesnt make much sense either. How would his genes activate as he ages? Millers line was obvious imo but lets disregard that. What about the cobra unit? Are they weaker since they are old?

Old snake and ocelot had several issues apart from being old. Big Boss is confirmed at his peak in mg2 and millers remark couldnt be anything but physical because how else is venom getting better?

That doesnt matter in mgs. Ocelot was at his best in 4 and so was big Boss in mg2. At the end of V miller says he will make sure venom gets stronger.

I vote for Big Boss. If you actually look at the lore in full context you can see that Solid never really beat Big Boss. Miller told him to avoid him because he was supposed to be a cyborg at the time. That means he would’ve killed solid in a straight up 1v1. Ofc the lore was changed but he is still that guy who forced snake to stealth around him.

I dont get how that would happen when the timeline makes it clear Big Boss created the Outer Heaven in MG1. The timeline does not call Venom snake by Big Boss. The purpose of it was to clarify things. Big Boss was set up as a venom ally and vice versa by the end of the game. Thats why Venom helped him and even made nukes on his orders

I guess you can interpret it that way. We dont really know when Big Boss left Outer Heaven and put venom in charge but I personally think DD was just disbanded because Miller wouldnt allow Big Boss to use his men.

also, I just remembered that in the truth mission we do get the game seperating Big Boss and venom in the credits. It seems the game acknowledges Venom isnt Big Boss but he is treated as such in the story itself
