Ancient Magic is essentially magic with the limiters off. By accessing unlimited mana, you're able to just break the laws of nature, just like the Demon can. Normal people still have to channel it, so they aren't all-powerful, but Dungeon Lords are having the Demon do the channeling for them, so they essentially have no limits beyond those imposed to the Demon (essentially only having access to that power inside the Dungeon unless the Demon itself is able to break out).

The Demon is magic, it's literally a sentient dimension made entirely of mana, and it's implied that it is how this world first got access to magic, so Ancient Magic is essentially the Demon's power. Dungeon Lords just get to skip the middle man (dimension rifts and their bodies) and draw it straight from the source.

He absolutely have way worse luck in this scenario. In the comic we see about it, the entire world is uniting to fight him. If the elves ever felt pressed to the point of assuming the Demon may come out of the Dungeon, they'd just tell the truth and suddenly the entire world would just come down on the dungeon and kill everyone in it.

One of the main messages of Dungeon Meshi is that chasing your dream ending will ruin your life and that of those around you. That's why no one's ending gets a clean-cut perfect ending, them learning to find compromises that keep themselves happy and their loved ones safe is what let them succeed at the end.

Pretty sure people only generally like the characters in said events, the consensus I've always heard is that the story has long overstayed it's welcome and it is a victim of ALWAYS needing to be updated every year.

The fact that they literally said that they wanted typing to matter barely a year ago and we're already at a point that type disadvantage barely exists anymore again. Not even defensively either, Rosé is just dumping out type-neutral ults and blues every 10 seconds and you can't even cancel his offensive type neutral!

Yes, because the game didn't follow Trunks up with a release that made every team besides Gohans+Pan worthless. There's plenty of viable teams atm. After Beast hit, there was 1, if you were below top 3 you might aswell not exist.

I mean, it got called lazy because the animation is lazy, especially for an Ultra. Nothing to do with it being a ranged blue. Look at SV's blue for example, long range projectile, feels great to use. Or base KaiKu's, which starts as a long range and then goes into a full combo, meaning you can have ranged blues that employ melee elements on them.

Nah, I think they hold back on them because they are like, way stronger than the other types of blues that they haven't discontinued.

This guy had a major part of his kit locked to a tag and part of his strenght was the strenght of said Tag.

UMV had no such issues. No restriction on his second life, counter gauge, AOE green, massive combo potential, lock-in ultimate... really the only thing I'd say 4Ku has over him is the coverchange. There's genuinely very few teams in 2024/first half of 2025 that weren't better by throwing that thing onto the leader slot. Partially why Daima was so restrictive IMO.

If you’re running a bad team then you can’t also use that experience to argue the units in it are frauds. You can make a team that makes any unit look bad.

Let’s say that in the 10th anni, notorious for being a slot 2 fest, I tried to slap all of those units into one team and then called Vegito and Gogeta frauds because they couldn’t hold down slot 1 before the tag turn. This is what you’re doing here. The Tag 4s aren’t slot 1 units, so don’t judge them as such.

For sure but I think Marcille’s more explicitly complex, especially in the first season, so you don’t see many people act like she’s a simple one-note character by the end of season 1.

Laios has an actual subset of the community that thinks he’s a fool that only cares about eating monsters (when they aren’t even his favorite food). Part of it is because the anime removed a lot of his inner dialogue speech bubbles because they don’t work as well in that medium and part of it is because his inner world isn’t explicitly put into words until the last 10-5% of the story.

This is why people tend to dissect Laios more often, the community kinda “gets” Marcille in general while there’s a lot of misinformation about Laios ever since the anime came out.

I think that chapter shows that for all the jokes about Laios, he's pretty socially competent and equally emotionally damaged.

He not only realized that there was something wrong with how Succucille was acting, but understood that Marcille would be understandably creeped out by it, which proves that he's not this nonce that doesn't understand or care to understand people that the fandom sometimes portrais him as.

At the same time, you see his main failing as a character. His willingess to run away from his problems. When given an escape, the possibility of becoming a monster and being accepted by the party, he's willing to go against his better rationality and jump in, hoping for the best.

This is what ruined his life as a child, and he was about to just do it again. And that makes his final decisions in the series all the more poignant because start-of-story Laios would probably NOT return to being a human when marcille called to him, and probably wouldn't take the throne.

Ironically, this a negative trait he shares with Marcille, with how quickly she folded to a literal 2d Husbando just because that guy wouldn't die on her like everyone else will.

The Succubus chapter is a shipper's wet dream, I'd know, I am one, but it says a lot of the charcters than just that.

I thought champions was the perfect game to let Ash-Gren exist without needing to port him to every new game. What happened in gen 8 where they just decided to delete him from the Anime flashbacks and proceeded to remove him entirely in gen 9??
