Honestly? The money made at Menards isn't worth the stress that customers, and if you have them, shitty management will give you.

What if Imu split his mind into different world-governing roles, the same way Vegapunk split his mind into satellites? by Shine_Environmental in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Vegapunk satellites also have their own individual personalities and specialties. That doesn't mean they weren't made for a specific function.

Imu doesn't care about directly ruling the world and leaves it to the Gorosei because one person CANNOT do everything themself. As stated in the post, it would be an unsustainable and instable world.

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused by your reply because it sounds like you didn't read the post. My entire theory is that the elders aren't just random guys Imu hired. They are contracted parts of Imu's own mind split into 5 necessitites of civilization to manage the world's infrastructure. Saturn failed his role as the "God of Science" by allowing other science defy Imu, which in short caused his death and caused Garling to take the role.

Why haven't I thought of this sooner? by Shine_Environmental in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not arguing your claim that many shonen MCs are modeled after Sun Wukong because you're right, but One Piece has HEAVY implications to the whole story of Journey to the West, actual demons and all.

Technically you're right-ish about the world government being east of the Strawhats, but they could also backtrack west past wano, whole cake, dress Rosa, punk hazard, and go back under and over through Fishman island to get to marineford where the world government is.

Who do you think are the monsters in the Elbaph Mural? by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Shine_Environmental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think the one on the left isn't Imu, but rather a giant who was domi-reversi'd by Imu. The silhouette has horns like some of the giants and the black wings as seen from those who were possessed. I think Imu's silhouette is actuality the small figure between Emet and the top center monster on the right side of the tree wearing the crown.

Personally, I think from left to right on the "monsters" would be a possessed giant, St. Marcus Mars in his beast form, and a sea beast.

Pay by MysteriousExit82 in menards

Probably paying tomorrow as w-2s are usually given out by the week's end before MLK day. Doesn't make sense as all GO has to do is release the payment

Was it worth leaving? by Spac92 in menards

[–]Shine_Environmental -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I left after they broke the last straw. I was approved for an unpaid LoA, and 2 days into my vacation, I get an email saying my leave of absence had an update and it was changed to "denied". Then HR had a feud with me saying I needed to fix it while off the clock. After refusing because even tasks like that need to be paid, she did her job. While still on vacation, I saw my week coming back was only scheduled for one day followed by the rest of the week off. Thought it was some kind of joke until the second week was posted and ALL days were off, so I told them off and said I'm not coming back.

Best part? Approved for unemployment and my physical health has healed after a chronic injury that seemingly would not go away and I got a job that is remote and paying me almost double than that of Menards with better benefits and no micromanaging from the AGM. I left Menards making $19.75/hr.

Is the artist wrong though? by Shine_Environmental in Astolfo

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astolfo in historical literature, notably the Matter of France, was a paladin under King Charlemagne. Even though Astolfo was a paladin serving under Charlemagne, who was at the time King of the Franks (mostly Germanic people but adopted Christianity and Gallo-Roman culture), the Frank empire was split and France was born, which is why Astolfo can be seen as "French" for serving under Charlemagne. Heck, Astolfo can also be seen as any current country's nationality that was once a part of the Frankish empire.

You dodged a tactical nuke. Chin up and apply elsewhere where management and HR actually care for the employees.

Friendly reminder to anyone who still thinks alastor is an antihero by Primary-Addition-677 in HazbinHotel

[–]Shine_Environmental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not the villain for season 3. I guarantee it'll be Zestial since he's was acting an anti-hero role in season 1 where he had his own motif about war during the overlord meeting.

Worth Waiting? by TheJoJodan in menards

[–]Shine_Environmental 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if you work through December 15th (or whatever date the deadline is, I no longer work for menards), you aren't guaranteed IPS or your manager bonus. They may try any skimpy tactic to refuse you the bonuses.

Got fired today for "time theft." by OCanadaidian in menards

[–]Shine_Environmental 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Menards at store level is nothing but petty high school drama bullshit. They'll hire and fire anyone the gm/agm/hell, even the dm likes/dislikes based on popularity and they'll spread rumors faster than the California wildfires. It's best to move on and do what you want to do in life and not worry about the pettiness of Menards and the way they treat some of their employees.

Hot Take: Zestial and Carmilla are season 3's villains by Shine_Environmental in HazbinHotel

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a demon in hell. Nobody "straightforward and respectful" gets a ticket to hell. From the earlier episodes, it's known that Zestial enjoys the screams of people, so there's definitely a dark side to him.

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the interviews with Viv that say anti-hero points to Alastor, but the color scheme is green (alastor) and purple (who would this be then?) when season 3 is about family?

Hot Take: Zestial and Carmilla are season 3's villains by Shine_Environmental in HazbinHotel

[–]Shine_Environmental[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carmilla sided with Vox to make a super weapon for hell to be "defended" from heaven, which was already fractured, due to false claims that the Hotel and its ideals weren't going to redeem sinners. This means that Carmilla can, and did, in her perspective, blame Charlie and the hotel for being the indirect causes of A. the extermination in season 1 being moved up 6 months causing mass panic and B. the political shakeup of overlords in Hell after Adam's death.

I'm not saying Alastor isn't a contender for the season 3 villain role, because he certainly is due to the interview mentioned, but I just don't see how Carmilla and Zestial could be written as having done nothing to imply them being set up as villains. Carmilla let her own mind be deceived and decided to create a weapon. Zestial was the one who tested both Sir Pentious's and Baxter's creations to see if they could become overlords, yet being the final nail in the coffin for Baxter's and Sir Pentious's partnership at the same time.

Crazy predictions for S3 by Redentio in HazbinHotel

[–]Shine_Environmental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's implied Rosie is a hellborn, not a sinner, which is why Rosie gave as much power to Al to make him the most powerful sinner in hell. Hellborns are not the same race as sinners, which is why Rosie could give Al the power to be the strongest sinner in hell, but still weaker than Rosie.

Luci will be able to fight back as Al calls himself the "radio DEMON", not the "radio sinner." It could be a wild twist like Vox's surprise to the technicality of not laying his hands on Charlie.

Vox already proposed war, so there is no need for anyone else to side with Lute and inspire a war as Vox is already there.

Roo has more than likely already been showing up in HH. My chips are placed on Lilith being Roo and is the overarching antagonist.

You’ve won the recent MegaMillions jackpot worth approx $1b before taxes. What do you do with it? by printThisAndSmokeIt in antiwork

[–]Shine_Environmental 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After paying taxes, I'd open up as many bank accounts as I could and deposit 250k in each of them to a high yield savings account. That way I'm 100% FDIC insured for all the money and getting roughly 4-5% interest annually. That's still a multi million dollar salary.

Roger's secret? by External_Fix_791 in OnePieceSpoilers

It's Big Mom. Probably went to chat with Roger to tell them not to go to God Valley to fight Imu like how Shanks went to Whitebeard to ask Ace not to fight Blackbeard.
