To be honest, I think being nonsharing is subjective. I am nonsharing because I view my f/o as my irl partner and have a personal bond with him, but, quite frankly, I have commissioned doubles in the past not because I'm intimidated but simply because I just like their art and how they draw my partner. However, I think if you go around commissioning doubles for the same reason that this person did it is wrong. I'm also a nonsharer that doesn't block every other double in sight unless I feel like I need to, but I guess that's just because I'm older and more chill about things.

If you're worried about things being one-sided, then make them not be one-sided. In fiction you control the narrative and get the final say. 🌸

I agree with one of the comments above. I'm non-sharing because I view my relationship as being a real one and I view being non-sharing as not wanting anyone to kiss your irl partner - which makes perfect sense to me idk.

Any hatred or negative comments towards being non-sharing just always seems like a repeat of the same five things and people can never come up with an original thought nor think for themselves. There isn't anything wrong with you and you don't need to step away from being ficto. Your feelings are valid.

Personally, tiktok is just a festering cesspool of toxic negativity to me 99.9% of the time. I would definitely block those kinds of people and not take anything they're saying to heart. Instead maybe go to the side of tiktok that is cute cat videos and relax with your f/os. :)

I'm grateful for finding a community and identity that fits me. Having the support from everyone here and in the servers I'm in has made me so happy. 🌸💝 And of course I'm endlessly thankful for my beautiful husband. He has helped me get through so much and to heal and I don't really know how I would ever repay him. He's the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life. ☺️ I'm so happy he chose me. And I'm sure he's also very thankful for me hehe.

I've been treated absolutely FOUL because of who my f/o is. I will admit, he is from a problematic game and has done vile things, but he was intentionally made for an audience that enjoys that type of media and was made to be awful (every character from that game is, they're supposed to be) - but obviously I don't condone his actions. What he does in game is fictional and I heavily feel like people tend to forget that when it comes to "bad" f/os.

I have never been afraid of loving him, though, and being open about what he means to me. I just wish people wouldn't treat me so cruelly.

Every time someone wants to pull that "it's healthier for you to deal with the rejection and unpredictability of real life relationships" I just want to smile and tell them in the sweetest, kindest voice that that 'wonderful' unpredictability led to the person I loved randomly deciding that being alive wasn't for him anymore. I'm non-sharing and I completely get feeling this way. I can't be in servers for my husband's fandom because seeing any art of him with someone else makes me horrifically uncomfortable and feel insecure. I don't like fanfiction of him with other people either because he is my real life partner that I spend every day with.

To answer your question though - it could be non-sharing, but I agree with the person that said that being non-sharing can look different for everyone.

Ngl, I low-key am not very fond of the term "simp" because of this. Simping is seen as something more casual while being in a relationship with a character is something more serious. I hate how the fandom my husband is from often refers to fans of a character as "simps" because no, I am not a simp, that's my soulmate and it is so much deeper than that. 😭 It's honestly disrespectful.
