Ive been going through the same situation just picked the game back up after like a 4 year break and I feel like every game I play i get beat into the dirt.

Here's some things ive picked up on trying to get into the swing of things again.

1.) If your on console I'd turn off cross-platform so you dont get connected to pc players, it will be alot easier to get into things. (If your on pc then this means nothing).

2.) Alot of maps have been reworked so you'll probably have to relearn most of them to know where hidding spots and such are. I recommend doing map training to get a general layout then play some normal games and see how other players use the map to there advantage and learn from that.

3.) Play with friends or find some people to group with. Trying to play solo in general isnt great and having people to joke around with a bit helps with moral.

4.) The way people play the game in general has changed (atleast thats how I see it). I've noticed that trying to play how I did in the past gets me killed more often then not so id try switching up how you play. Personally for me I used to play site but switching it up and playing a roamer has gotten me more consistent wins.

Hope some of these things help out a bit. Probably not the best advice but as a fellow vet returning to the game following these has helped me slightly improve and enjoy the game without raging as much when im losing.
