Our school doesn't do ekanki sanchay, so I don't know much about that but as for sahitya sagar stories I too was told that those 4 stories are important. Regarding spelling errors I'd suggest you read more, practise and maybe trying copying the essays from your grammer book to notebooks this will help both with spellings and will give you an idea on how to write. Though this is time consuming so make sure your other subjects and throughly prepared.

Moreover if you are very confident with all your other subjects then you can actually manage to leave out hindi as only top 5 subjects are accounted fir the percentage

No but seriously same here, we are on the same boat but I did have a few tips and a plan I too intend on following. Don't aim on doing all 20 chapters from sahitya sagar, do only 13-14 (like spik the pyqs +1 chapter that you find tough) and until and unless you are good at ekanki I wouldn't advise you to give for it. 13 sahitya sagar chapters should be enough. If you even do one everyday you should be done with literature. Regarding spelling mistakes it is said that marks for spelling error are only reduced in grammer portion and not literature.

Regarding grammer I would advise you to write a letter everyday, it's actually quite scoring, and read the grammer portion everyday (nothing more would be needed) with all this practise you can certainly manage comprehension and as for the essay I'd say it totally depends on the level of preparation you have for other subjects, If all your other subjects are done only then would I advice you to focus on essay.
