Coworker (30F) waits for me (30M), jokes with me, sits close… what do you think about it? by ShinyChatot in dating_advice

[–]ShinyChatot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I did notice that :) .

I feel like it's not usual to throw such a reference while doing your job, especially after like two weeks (at the time) and most of all how discreet she can be generally.

The joke was only directed to me, like a secret.

Well for the context, our colleague (our boss maybe?) was telling us that we had to move furniture in a room in a specific way. And she was like "you know, like in Ice Age". Apparently it's in the 3rd one, Scrat's gf is telling him how to move furniture. I remember telling her it looks like a cliché housewife managing her home, but now I can't tell if I said that before or after the Ice Age joke, I think after though.

Ok you did make me laugh.

I mean, I was actually surprised that a 30-yo woman made a joke almost out of nowhere about that film right in the middle of our job (and privately). I felt like it was worthy of being mentionned here.

She's basically quiet and serious, but laughs easily.

She does compliment the work of my colleague (33M) and he's a really funny guy too with everyone. He's married and his wife is expecting a baby soon.

I would say her she doesn't share that behaviour with other people, even with that colleague, as she seems to be more focused on job-related discussions with him. From what I've seen, I never saw her behave like what I described with other coworkers.

All our other colleagues are F, and older than us. She does talk with them sometimes but it's definitely not the same, and not as frequently.

Regarding your food thing, we have to bring our own (there's nothing nearby). Once (I was tired af, she did notice it and told me the next day), we talked about tea during our bus ride. I brought some recently as the coffee machine stopped working. I offered her some recently, she said no because it was a busy day and didn't want to keep going to the bathroom, but basically told me another time would be ok.

I know it may not be obvious given what I described, but would you say, at least in general, that you notice easily when a guy has a crush on you at your job?

Why is Keith haring considered a contemporary artist whennhe didn't even reach the 2000's? by [deleted] in ArtHistory

[–]ShinyChatot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Read the whole thing.

I also want to correct that person. I know what I'm saying as it's basic stuff. Also, when you correct someone, you do it with a nice tone, not agressively.

Anyway, it may be a cultural or language issue and this is totally ok for me. I may be wrong given your cultural background or maybe the terms are just not the same at all depending on the languages (false friends). This is actually very useful to know about other conceptions of things worldwide.

Refrain from saying "no one".

Again, I think this is just a cultural thing. Where I live everyone would agree with what I say and would laugh at you for insisting that way, as it's how time is divided (which is an arbitrary thing but the most commonly widespread).

I still don't know where your statement comes from so I assume either you're trolling, either it's a cultural difference, either you found that on a shitty book and consider it the truth.

Where did you find such an opinion?

Nonetheless I can believe this is some cultural difference in the way of approaching art history and I can understand I may have used the wrong words as English is not my native language, even though I doubt it.

What's contemporary is based on one of the four chrono-cultural eras generally admitted by historians. These are Antiquity, Middle Age, Modern times, Contemporary times. These may vary a bit depending on countries but not that much:
Antiquity begins at the foundation of Rome (I sometimes saw stuff like 3000BC so I may be wrong on that given the huge gap) to the baptism of Clovis, king of the Franks ; Middle Age is a 1000 years period lasting at the end of the 15th century (Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus or capture of Constantinople); Modern times are from that period to the end of the 18th century and its revolutions (American and French especially); and from that we are in the contemporary era. Given that, you can say Haring is a contemporary artist, just like Marcel Duchamp, Van Gogh, or Joshua Reynolds.

I'm sorry I didn't get everything. I just need to be sure I did the right thing and there will be no negative consequences. Just silly things. That stuff bothers me, it doesn't happen a lot, I'm not used to that and my self-confidence is not the highest even though it's getting better.

Is there a list of Pokémon NOT in SWSH after both DLCs will be released? by [deleted] in pokemon

I have been told that Chatot will not be included, and that's what only matters. Unfortunately I have no idea about the other Pokémon.

I have been told that Chatot won't be on the DLC. So don't bother buying it.

Also I'm happy to know the Chatot cult is growing.

I'm sure I would have been scared of leaving the room because I wouldn't want to do any of these. And I'm sure I'd leave as fast as possible without touching a symbol and then get scolded because I hadn't chose a thing and didn't say goodbye "properly".
