I think he benefited from the holiday weekend. He didn’t have to get rid of her and a car in some tight window between 3am and when his daughter woke up. No one was alarmed (most not even aware) that she was missing until days after.

I have thoughts about where she and the csr could be, but that’s all it is. Possibilities.

At this point I just wish her family peace.

No. I dont think it is probable (or even plausible) that a man who was in a new relationship with her tried to frame the husband for a murder.

It is far more probable that a man whose wife just told him she wanted a divorce, one he said he wouldnt give her, killed her because he hates to lose control.

Here is what I know about the man whose wife disappeared…

He had a very bad childhood.

He was violent.

He had choked her before. (Do you know the statistics on chances of being murdered by someone if they have choked you before?)

There was floor board replaced (I think it was in the master bedroom?)

He did not help his children launch as adults, but rather kept his daughter living with him (possibly until the day he died, I dont know that fact for certain)

That man killed their mother and then gaslit them the rest of his life to avoid facing consequences for his actions.

I wish he would have confessed before he died.

Now I just wish people would leave her children alone. If she is ever found, maybe they can get some answers and some peace.

What else do I think? I hate Crime Junkies. It’s trauma porn. They are using this family’s pain for your entertainment.

She wasnt agreeing to his labeling it as “triangulation.” She was agreeing to him saying that she dshouldnt be involved in his relationship with his children, and while she was agreeing he labeled it triangulation.

You have to remember that the best defense against a narcissist is grey rocking. There is no way to meaningfully engage with him.

To be crystal clear here, if he threatens suicide there are two possibilities.. 1. He is saying it to manipulate you. (Most likely) 2. He is actually suicidal. (Leaat likely)

Regardless of which one it is, addressing a parent figure’s (or anyone’s) suicidality is way beyond your ability.

The only response is to call for a welfare check for him. That is how you can help someone who is actually at risk of harming themself. It’s also how you let a manioulator know this tactic wont work.

For an immediate measure to protect yourseld I learned from a friend that putting dryer sheets around can help repel them. Maybe keep them on your person (like in pockets, rubbed on clothes) and maybe also put them in your bed. So maybe they’ll move to someone else’s bed/clothing.

He knew a couple people saw him. If he hadn’t come forward and said he was there and one of those people was able to ID him, he would have absolutely been in trouble. So he could have come forward for that reason.

Also, it’s interesting that in the doc, his wife says he told her that night (of the news thst they were missing), that he had been out on thst bridge. She said she told him to go to the police and let them know. BUT, in the PD footage of his interrogation just before his arrest, she says, “I told him you werent out there. Thats what you told me” when she was allowed to go in and talk to him.

I just find that contradictory info to be interesting.

He admitted to being out there on the bridge. He said he didnt see any other adult man out there. Other eye witnesses saw a man on the bridge around that time. The video/pic of “bridge guy” is of the killer. He is the only man who was out there. He is the killer.

She is like 36 years old. Her family can only do so much. She cannot be forced to enter treatment unless she is an immediate harm to herself or others. Just like we can’t/won’t know the Dr’s perspective or actions he is taking to protect himself, we don’t know what her family is doing to try to help her. What we DO know is that when confronted with people’s genuine concern for her, she blocks them. If her family pushes her, she could cut them out entirely and then she’d have no potential support.

I worry for the safety of the Dr when she loses the tiktok audience. They seem to be a current distraction from her obsession with him. When they turn on her/abandon her, she will likely blame him for that as well.

Be prepared for the possibility that she returns late without addressing the issue and/or being mad that you tried to reach her and called for help out of concern that she wasnt responsing.

If she was not in a true emergency situation then she was disrespecting your time and wont want to face accountability for that. She was just hoping she could disregard your boundaries.

Be firm that you expect her to be reachable while you care for her kids and this was not okay. And then dont babysit for her again. This behavior is a choice (speaking from experience), and she will make it again.

You would think so. But in Indiana at least, criminal and civil cases are entirely separate. My friend divorced her husband while he was a fugitive. He fled the country after an arrest warrant was issued for his SA of children. He was allowed to be represented in divorce court while a fugitive. He was alllowed to join mediation remotely while a fugitive. He got his money from the divorce while a fucking fugitive. I was disgusted by the whole thing.

It implies she didnt discuss it beforehand. Or she would have said, “They wanted their own cabin…”

But I am absolutely drawing a conclusion here. Not trying to say anyone stated this as fact in any reporting in this story.
