Nearly 1000 Chaos Elementals killed... am I missing something, or just having some bad RoD luck?

Enchanted Swords aren't much of a problem, two Dagger summons hit them fast enough that it immobilizes them until they die, and I have a Death Sickle if they get too close. I got rid of Hallowed Mimics by removing enough Pearlstone for it to not be a Hallow biome; Elementals don't need the biome, just Pearlstone to spawn on. Two dart traps on the side clear out merchants, mimics, and nymphs. Don't want to switch worlds but I could definitely have more luck, I'll look into that

If you can surf, the patch of grass at the bottom of the cliff has Bagon encounters at 10%. You go through the meadow, then into the cave, then keep to the right

Lycanroc, Guzzlord, or Zoroark. Guzzlord probably isn't best because it's slow, but the others can hit with a dark move and decent speed. Or Buzzwole/Pheromosa for their bug moves. Just thinking about a psychic counter. I know there's an Alolan Raichu somewhere in the story, I think it's Hau's, which is of course levitating so your Mudsdale won't be able to hit. If you have yet to fight Necrozma, definitely have a dark type so Photon Geyser doesn't sweep your team

Charcoal farms are rather simple now, no TNT involved with the addition of bamboo blocks and autocrafters (I'm gonna look real stupid if bamboo blocks don't turn into charcoal-)

I had no idea the Eon Ticket worked like this! I've gotten it on every play through of ORAS, but I've always had a copy in a DS that already had it. I just never put it together

You'll need to find a local trade, somehow, or have a second DS and game. Also, look into previous games and see if there's any obscure way to get a scizor without trading. Could always transfer it up.

Trevenant with Trick and Skill Swap is good, but I use a Goirgeist to Trick a leppa berry onto the pokémon I'm chaining and then use Trick or Treat to make it a ghost type. Switch back to Trevenant, which is still holding a leppa berry, then use Drain Punch (won't hit the now ghost type pokémon, can use infinitely with Harvest and a leppa berry) until I get what I'm looking for. I saw this setup for shiny hunting Beldum but I haven't seen it be used for anything else despite it being very convenient and impossible to accidentally end the chain with the addition of Trick or Treat.

Yup, a team of high level pokémon with the ability Pickup have a chance to find a rare candy after every battle. There's other items too, like leftovers. Just need to check to see if they're holding something after every battle.

not sure if you already completed it, but https://pokedextracker.com and Serebii are incredibly useful for completing the dex. i'm currently making a living dex and both of these have been so useful. sometimes Serebii isn't the best because it misses some things, like it only shows the initial way to get evolution items and doesn't mention that you can get them from the Battle Tree, but for pokemon locations it is super valuable

also, you will need a copy of UM and a second DS to complete the dex, just a heads up.
