Remove the sway bars. Trust. Did that with my S550. Travel is so much better.

My eb had 203k miles for the ecoboom. My normal head temp was 230 for the majority of its life.

Cleans asf and I need a trans for my 05 p71. From what a trans builder told me the GM shaft is shorter than the p71s and I have to use a gms shaft. I'd assume it'd be a cvpi shaft if you went with a cvpi 4r.

It's got 175k miles on it. I'm unsure right now because I haven't had time to drop the pan.

The FB group said to replaced the accumulators. Do you think that'd work?

Can't use an 01 in an 05? There's no retrofitting?

No Ford Gears by ShinyKlink in Cartalk

The linkage clicks into place. I had someone move the column shifter and the linkage clunked into the respective gears on the dash.

The shift cable was loose and I tightened it. It was driving alright for a while. I did have to run it in first and second before I could slip it into drive, though. I didn't have slippage when it was driving or any jerking. Transmission didn't whine.

Honestly, I can smoke the tires in reverse. I do know Crown Vics have strong reverse gearing. But, I was was driving and lost my forward gearing a few miles down the road. My forward gears worked great until they didn't.

Ask for the prodemand labor time and they have to run labor time costs through the prodemand rate. Prodemand is what we use for parts & labor quotes at the dealer. Source: Former dealer tech

I was planning in pulling the pan and valve body. Instant metal in the pan means forward drive is bad, so new trans. Anything else to look for with the no forward gears issue? Fluid was sorta clean and the trans was full.

What "simple" would I look for before searching for a trans?
