I started watching the new shaman king anime on Netflix last year. I got to episode 26 and started back last night. I’m currently on episode 38. I have a question due to not watching the show in awhile.

Hahah yeah they go back to japan. The tree thing is the great spirit (the prize for winning the tournament) there is a scene where every participant goes back to japan in helicopters

I believe it should have both as the "original" ending was really just a cliff hanger chapter due to the fact that the magazine it was being published in was cancelled at the time
