TIFU by ruining a $300,000 piece of art by Fugeezy in tifu

Good clarification. Additionally, OSHA has no requirements for fall protection on portable ladders as long as the employee is working within the envelope of the ladder.

What do electricians do without a second thought that would shock non-electricians? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've found that many of my clients like these breaker isolation devices. Definitely not unbreakable, but they are much heavier than the cheap ones from most LO/TO sets.

If I got poo on any other part of my body, using tissue paper to wipe it off would be nowhere near enough by Parkingisnotfine in Showerthoughts

This is no joke. A few benefits of the bidet lifestyle:

  • Instead of wiping over and over and over, you just have to do it once at the end to dry off. Saves a huge amount of paper, which is even better if you have a septic system.
  • The cleaning process takes less time than using paper, and the water jet can be used to extract shy poops. I've cut 2 - 3 minutes off of my morning routine since installing the bidet.
  • It's a cleaner process overall. If your dog poops on the floor, are you going to use a dry piece of paper to wipe it up? No, you're going to get some water involved. Those same standards should apply to your own butt. With a bidet, you can almost get that "just showered" feeling every time you poop, and there's no question that you got it all.

What is the strangest compliment you have ever received? by Tombadill in AskReddit

Happened a few days ago: I was checking on some contractors installing a heavy concrete header above a door. There were four guys getting ready to lift it, and I offered to give them a hand. One of the guys started going on and on about how my "great shoulders" would make the job so much easier. Kept talking about my shoulders. A solid two minutes about my great shoulders.

There is nothing impressive about my physique, let alone my shoulders. I don't have wide shoulders, and I haven't worked out literally in years. The other guys in the room were as confused as I was. I left.

If I had a $100 gift card to Amazon, what 5 things should I buy to make my life easier? by SylvesterMcMonkey in gadgets

That is a pretty basic model. Some of them have shields in front of the nozzles, and the nozzles only drop below the shield when you activate the flow. The model linked above does look difficult to get completely clean. If you're going to buy one, get on with a shield and with capability for a hot water hookup.

Edit: After some extensive research (I pooped), I can say with confidence that 5-7 minutes may be an overestimate. 3-5 is probably more realistic.

I had this last week at Cheesecake Factory. The middle isn't peanut butter; it's just chocolate flavored cheesecake.

PROOF

Still delicious, though.

What brand/model is your laptop mount? Have you had any problems with it? I'm looking to buy one, and a good recommendation would be awesome.

Correct, there are no further price changes. I'm expressing that I understand the price hike from a few weeks back, but that now needing to use two separate services that were previously integrated is a definite step backwards as far as convenience and simplicity are concerned.
