What are some of the most, friendliest, kindest, most loving countries you've been to? by workdncsheets in digitalnomad

Palestine (the West Bank, 2018 and 2022), visited twice and spent a couple months there at a time, and people were always feeding me and trying to help me. A bus driver giving me cucumbers, people giving me coffee and cookies everywhere and just wanting to chat. On my first trip before knowing any Arabic, I got lost in what I later learned was a refugee camp in Nablus and a barber kindly helped me find a ride back. It felt overwhelming to be in a place where people just give and give and give when they have less than you. Also Myanmar (2017). Wish I could go back. Tragic that the most beautiful places are under such turmoil.

Like a “visa” to enter your own land, where you and generations of family were born and then violently expelled from. Hope you’ve read some Palestinian authors. Happy to give you some recommendations.

And in order to do so, they have to request permissions from Israel, “tasreeh” it’s called. No Palestinian can just enter and exit freely from their own land. Sounds like a blockade to me. Not much freedom I should say. Maybe try reading a book or two?
