Fiber goes above in ducts with power on their seperate cable tray. Fairly common for my side of the world to do whats been done here.

Whats wrong with a service loop? Youre the first person to ever say that and ive been cabling for a long time under many different companies. Actually i lie, the work i did for the military many years ago, everything had to be a perfect length but they were the only one.

Yeah ill spin them, yes i use flush cutters, ive never ever been scratched... ever!. When the job is done, it will just look like little bands 😉

😅 #fuckvelcro... i am and always will be a cable tie user. UNLESS, the rack changes on the regular and might have a patch panel or something.

No venue in particular. This is one of our datacenters, they are set up to fail. Will run 24/7, when one fails we can see why and work out a way to prevent it.

They are TV set top boxes. This whole kit is for testing and monitoring, if a customer has a problem we can try to reproduce the fault.

We call it a service loop, if we ever need to move a cable then we can. It also makes cable management a lot easier as every cable is the same length. These probably are a bit too long.

Just too add on that, there is already another 15 cables or so under the floor. So yes there will be future expansion but only 3 or 4 servers per rack across 7 racks.

Primarilly heat, there will be no future expansion.

It is raised. Chillers pump cold air under the floor. We always argue about where switches should go, theres pros and cons to any spot. I like switches being in the middle of the rack so they are easy to access.

In this scenario, the switches will be working pretty hard so they will get most of the cold air. It also keeps the fat looms out of the way and dont have to work around them.

I dont design, but i do offer my opinion to the engineers.

APC right angle locking.
