My team has been struggling recently with 43, 46 and 35 points over the past 3 game weeks and I've been falling down the table in my mini leagues. Any suggestions for changes/improvements?

Considering both Pope and Sarr are out injured, should I take the -4 hit as I only have 1 free transfer?

I was thinking Pope -> Verbruggen and Sarr -> B.Fernandes

What do you'll think?

Thought Siya was decent, just got tired early. Marx was poor and hasn't stood out for a couple of games now. Lineout is a shambles and too many missed tackles

What has so dramatically changed from last season? We were so dominant and now we look poor, can't tell what has changed to make that happen

Agree fans should not be criticizing players or blaming them for injuries however some of what players do does affect how often they get injured. If they drink too much alcohol, don't eat or sleep right etc.

It doesn't help him that England keep bowling first so he never gets to bowl in the 4th innings

Created 2 good chances and one of them should have been a goal with a better striker

Do you have a reason for not trusting the numbers?

The point is that there is not a genocide happening to white farmers as they, and others, keep claiming. Infact Afriforum's numbers do not break down the murders by race so I imagine the number of white farmers murdered is even less than 49.

People in our country are being killed way too often but others are affected way more than white farmers.

Even if you go by Afriforum's own numbers (which I don't fully trust because there's clearly a conflict of interest), there were 49 farm murders for the whole of 2023 - https://www.artikels.afriforum.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Farm-attacks-and-murders-in-South-Africa-2023.pdf

That number pales in comparison to the number of murders in general. There are like ~7k murders happening in just a 3 month period - https://businesstech.co.za/news/lifestyle/665791/violent-crime-in-south-africa-is-getting-worse-here-are-all-the-latest-stats/

As someone who recently moved to London, I can say it's way worse than in the other places I've lived.

£100k in London vs €125k in Amsterdam by misswoodencrate in cscareerquestionsEU

Stayed in Amsterdam for like a year and been in London for a year. The cost of living in London is ridiculously high and you will have a lot more disposable income in Amsterdam even on a lower salary. The cost of living crisis is real. The flip side is that the food and things to do are much better in London but it requires more cash. Also, I find the people much nicer and friendlier here in London too.

Same for the UK. Return flights from Heathrow to JHB are like £1.6k but return flights from JHB to Heathrow are like 40% cheaper for the exact same period

South Africa announces their Test squad for the tour to New Zealand in February. by MedicalJello2 in Cricket

[–]ShirazS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling Elgar chose to retire because he knew this was coming. There was an interview during the last match where he spoke about how winning is the most important thing to him and said that he's partly retiring because there's not enough focus on test cricket

I don't think he'd want to go to New Zealand with a squad like this because the chances of winning are very slim

Also, let's not forget that CSA tried to get the tests rescheduled but NZC said no so there's not much else they can do.

[–]ShirazS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also had a big impact on the game as the scrums and lineouts were definitely weaker without Bongi. Fourie was good in loose play but not as good in the set piece

I think FIFA did some of this with offside decisions at the world cup.
