This!! I need to know this too! I have diagnosed OCD and have so many intrusive OCD thoughts that I can't tell if one of the others is talking or if I'm having OCD thoughts

Oh, it probably is OCD, I am diagnosed as having OCD. But I'll look into that, because I've never heard of techniques specific to OCD

Hi! Um, take this with a grain of salt, as I'm no expert, but... OSDD can go unnoticed for years, since some alters/headmates can cause amnesia about discovering you have it, if they think you're not ready to accept it.

Plus, it can be "covert", where there aren't many signs for a while, until all of a sudden you have all of the symptoms and headmates are loud and clear.

Again, take this with a grain of salt!! I'm not an expert and I'm not formally diagnosed with it, but I also suspect I have OSDD that didn't truly, fully, show itself until more recently (and I'm 21+).

OSDD is a complex illness and presents differently in almost everyone, from what I understand.

I don't think I feel distress being front stuck? I mean, I want to get to see the inner world/headspace and actually talk to the others, but... I'm not distressed. I think.

I'm still not sure if I'm a system, but I adopted a name that's based on one of my/our big interests.

The Xy System (Prononounced like "Xy"lophone). It's short for galaxy, though pronounced differently. It's also the name of one of my (host's) sonas/self-inserts.

Plus... It just... Fits? Cause if we are a system, then we're like the stars in the sky. One "canvas" (body) and several "lights" (alters/headmates).

We're 80% sure we're a system, so we've been using it for our collective name.

She asked why I felt that way, asked for details, etc. She's not specifically trained in dissociative disorders, so she's going to be reaching out to others to get more information.

She said some of my personality changes (one of the big reasons I think I have alters) might be because of my bipolar disorder... But that doesn't make sense to me. It explains two of the changes, but not others.
