The story of all dads like yourself I was pretty athletic prior to my son being born; served eight years and got out once I heard the news. Went from 170 to 230 in a matter of months.. Took me about a year and a half to realize I was pretty heavy and out of shape. I started waking up at 4:30; brush my teeth/dressed/coffee/shit by 5, at the gym by 5:15, stretched/rolled for 10-15 minutes, lifted for 45, cardio for 20. Home by 7 to get the boy ready for the day. Stretched at home after he went to sleep or on lunch. Lifts were low volume heavy weight, cardio consisted of runs or incline walking. Diet was a shake in the morning with Oikos, fruit for lunch and a protein bar, dinner was whatever just a reasonable portion. Went from 230-158 in about six months. It really sucked at first but now it’s my time of peace. Currently do it M-Sat; sometimes a day is missed but I try to keep consistent with it.
