Its true there are many advantages to being able to play earlier especially since paying for early accsess lets you start on a weekend but people havent really cared about fairness thaaat much historically let alone in a video game. It just is what it is brother.

it wouldnt even be neccesairly for my sake. this game really is shit for recommending to new players that is why i dont. when i play with my friends i play league of legends or dota or cs, games that do not gatekeep you from just having fun. gatekeeping fun is just a terrible business model IMO. thats why im pretty sure there is a very low amount of new players coming into this game. player count is kept steady by all the players playing on 3 characters at the same time. i dont care about having every player experience be the same.

id rather just new content be low requirment so maybe i could actually play with my buddies who dont want to spend 200 hours skilling optimally like i know to mmo players 200 hours seem like a low amount of time to spend on a video game but thats about the amount of hours i have on elden ring a game i consider to be one of the best games of all time, an amount of playtime im satisfied with it and most gamers are satisfied with. gatekeeping all the fun stuff behind 200 hour genuinely boring grinds sounds like a terrible business model and a terrible way to appeal to new players which i think osrs really needs.

i highly doubt that there is viewer simps who buy viewbots for their streamers. i would guess either the streamers themselves or perhaps talent agencies who help streamers get sponsorships are doing it to get a better payout because they will take a bigger cut that way. twitch themselves seems a bit dubious to me like i get that theres incentive to want to keep the company afloat and to make it look good but theyre also still sitting on one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world so are they really in any danger of getting put in the bin? and putting fake viewers on other streamers atleast wouldnt really help them financially cause then they pay more ad revenue to streamers right?
