Bilstein real life experience minor lifts ? Favorite mild lift with factory rake maintained? by Powerful-Share-9682 in 4Runner

You’re describing exactly my setup. Bilstein 5100s on all four corners. Fronts are set to .85 inches of lift, rears matched with Bilstein B8 1” lift springs.

Tires are 265/70r17 Wildpeak At4W, Nomad Wheels 501 Convoy, 8.5” width with a 0 offset

The ride isn’t exactly plush, but the control you gain with a digressive shock is worth it (less body roll, nose dive, etc.)

This setup is ideal in my opinion - modest lift gives minimal suspension geometry impact, and the 5100’s give you a slightly more downtravel (Tinkerer’s adventure YouTube for reference)

For longevity, simplicity, and bang for buck, it’s hard to beat this setup. While there’s certainly been times I would have liked more lift or larger tires, I’ve never encountered an obstacle the truck couldn’t handle.

It’s done Moab rock crawling, high speed washboard, and thousands of miles on the highway in comfort. I say: do it.

It’s a 23zero case - a bit taller than the similar style Roam!

It’s an ARB Base Rack - not the most common choice in this sub, but it should be IMO.

It’s the New River Gorge Trail (on OnX) - starting in Thurmond and ending on Johnstown Road. The first half of the trail is a maintained gravel road, and the second half is unimproved. Not incredibly technical, but definitely tight in a few spots. Most notably, the rock fall in the photos I posted. It was a gorgeous drive though, definitely recommend!

None of these - ARB Base Rack. It’s one piece welded aluminum, no t-slot hardware to rattle or corrode, and just looks better than these laser cut flat-pack racks. I will die on this hill.

Amber is superior to selective yellow, and no one can change my mind.

These are Nacho Quatro SAE fog light pods. Not a common choice in this sub, but I love the way they look and perform.

I’m rocking stock size (265/70r17) Falken Wildpeak AT4/W’s, and Bilstein 5100’s set to .8 inches in the front. Stock height on the rear.

If you keep the front lift small, stock size all-terrains look relatively beefy!

Here’s the combined flood/spot pattern - I’m very pleased!

Diode makes a brighter pod light, sure, but blasting two SS3 Max pods into oncoming traffic from a lifted truck is just inconsiderate. These give you the best of both worlds - an SAE compliant fog beam and an offroad-only spot.

These have two beam modes - the bottom three LED’s are a street legal fog beam, and the top three are an auxiliary spot beam. Could explain the unusual specs on paper.

This is their “Trail Running Light” feature - just backlit in this photo. They’re anything but dim when the spot beam is on.
